[Edaily Reporter Choi Hee-jae ] Actors Park Soo-young and Noh Yoon-seo will star alongside Kim Yoon-seok and Koo Kyo-hwan in the film “Heavy Snow.”

On the 3rd, distributor Showbox released character stills of actors Park Soo-young (as Officer Choi Kyung-wi) and Noh Yoon-seo (as Officer Yang Soon-kyung) from the film “Heavy Snow.”

Set to open on the 18th, “Heavy Snow” is a mystery drama set at a rural train station isolated by a blizzard. The story unfolds when a mysterious corpse is discovered in front of Gap-su (Kim Yoon-seok), the stationmaster about to retire, and Hyun-taek (Koo Kyo-hwan), his new successor.

Actor Park Soo-young, who has built a solid acting foundation by working across films, TV dramas, and the stage, takes on the role of Chief Officer Choi Kyung-wi, a fixture at Seolo Station. Choi Kyung-wi is close friends with Stationmaster Gap-su and frequently stops by Seolo Station to enjoy the special dishes and various homemade liquors that Gap-su prepares.

Park Soo-young adds a unique charm to the drama by delivering unpredictable tension while maintaining her signature warm and approachable demeanor.

Noh Yoon-seo plays Officer Yang Soon, who has just been assigned to the Seol-o Police Station. Despite her young age, Officer Yang Soon has earned Chief Choi Kyung-wi’s trust with her exceptional sharpness. She responds keenly to the unexpected situations that unfold at Seol-o Station, adding a taut sense of tension to the film.

Park Soo-young and Noh Yoon-seo are set to showcase a unique chemistry—a different dynamic from their pairings with Kim Yoon-seok and Koo Kyo-hwan—offering audiences a fresh and entertaining experience.

The stills released alongside the announcement draw attention by capturing Detective Choi and Yang Soon-kyung on patrol at Seol-o Station, which has been cut off by heavy snowfall. From Detective Choi’s bittersweet expression as he watches Gap-su, who is about to finish his final shift, to his seasoned command of the accident scene, the images spark curiosity about what incident has unfolded at the once-peaceful Seol-o Station.

Additionally, scenes of Officer Yang Sun-kyung competing against Gap-su in a game of Go and calmly surveying her surroundings heighten anticipation for her multifaceted performance.

Attention is focused on the dynamic chemistry that will unfold among the four leads: Kim Yoon-seok, Koo Kyo-hwan, Park Soo-young, and Noh Yoon-seo.

Kim Yoon-seok spoke highly of his co-star Park Soo-young, saying, “She has tremendous depth. She skillfully conveyed emotions like the tension that arises when a character senses something is off in an instant,” and added, “Please watch the film to see just how stunning Actress Noh Yoon-seo is when she appears.”

Director Hong Eui-jeong also remarked, “Both actors showed that they had become one with their characters. Just like Gap-su and Hyun-taek, Detective Choi and Officer Yang Sun were also set up in a symmetrical relationship—a senior and a junior who has just joined the force—so I hope you’ll pay close attention to this aspect as well.”
