[Edaily Reporter Choi Oh-hyun ] LGELECTRONICS has opened its first brand experience space at a U.S. university, marking its first step toward expanding its engagement with future generations. LGELECTRONICS announced on the 6th that it opened the 112-square-meter “Life’s Good Lounge” at the student union building of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, on the 4th (local time).

This marks the first time a LGELECTRONICS brand space has been established at a university overseas. It is the first instance of expanding “Another Campus”—a brand experience space currently operating at domestic universities such as Seoul National University, Hanyang University, Pusan National University, and the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST)—to an international location.

The lounge features key LGELECTRONICS products, including the OLED Evo G6, the portable “StandbyMe 2” screen, the Styler, UltraGear gaming monitors, the CordZero cordless vacuum cleaner, and the InstaView refrigerator. It was designed to allow students to naturally experience the products as part of their daily lives—whether studying, relaxing, or socializing.

A Styler garment care system has also been installed in the university’s career center. This is to allow students renting suits ahead of job interviews to utilize its garment care features.

LGELECTRONICS also uses the lounge as a campus hub for interacting with students. In the Gaming Zone—the university’s official esports practice space—the company plans to host OLED gaming tournaments as well as various other events, such as singing contests and campus parties for students spending holidays or long weekends on campus.

The company also runs programs to secure future talent. It plans to engage with students through company and job role introductions, internship guidance, and guest lectures by executives and engineers. It is also pursuing collaborations on undergraduate and graduate research projects in the fields of AI and engineering. Additionally, LG Corp. is exploring activities in partnership with affiliates operating in the Tennessee region, such as LG Energy Solution and LGCHEM,LTD.

LGELECTRONICS has been operating a manufacturing facility in Tennessee since 2018. The plant was designated a “Lighthouse Factory” by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2023 and is currently being utilized as a hub for validating physical AI technology. A “Lighthouse Factory” refers to a world-class model smart factory that has enhanced productivity and efficiency by leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI, the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data.

Kwak Do-young, Vice President and Head of LGELECTRONICS’ North American Region, said, “We hope the Life’s Good Lounge will serve as a new point of connection with the vibrant college community,” adding, “We will continue to support students so they can embrace the ‘Life’s Good’ value through positive experiences in their daily lives.”
