, has secured a Series A investment worth 10 billion won. This round was led by IMM Investment, with participation from IBK Enterprise Bank and Voyager Ventures. Existing investors—Atinum Investment, Naver D2SF, and Schmidt—also participated in the follow-on investment.
MOVIN was founded in 2023. The company has developed technology that converts human movement into precise 3D data. Its flagship solution is “MOVIN TRACING.” By combining LiDAR sensors with its proprietary AI technology, it captures movement in real time without the need for special suits or markers.
Based on this technology, MOVIN has secured a global customer base, primarily in the content production market, including gaming, film, and virtual creators. The company also collaborates with global robotics firms and research institutions, which utilize MOVIN’s technology for robot teleoperation and training.
Building on case studies of its solutions being used across various industries, MOVIN plans to expand its business scope across the entire industrial spectrum. This includes not only live interactive content and shows but also fields such as sports and rehabilitation, where movement is utilized as data. The company will use this investment to expand its existing motion capture business. It also plans to establish a research and development (R&D) center spanning approximately 100 pyeong to strengthen technology development in the field of physical AI.
"Nums AI," Developer of Structured Data Foundation Models
Nums AI, a developer of structured data foundation
models
, has completed the second closing of its pre-seed round by raising a total of 2 billion won from Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Korea Investment Partners. The company previously secured its first investment of 4 billion won in July from StoneBridge Ventures, SBVA, KT Investment, and Base Ventures. The company plans to use the funds raised to develop structured data AI models and hire personnel.
Numz AI has also been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ TIPS (Technology Incubation Program for Startups) program. Base Ventures serves as the program operator, and the research grant for this project totals 800 million won. TIPS is a program that links investment and incubation from private venture capital firms with government R&D support.
Numz AI is a company founded in February of this year by a research team of Seoul National University and KAIST alumni, led by Professor Yoo Jae-min of Seoul National University’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The company is currently collaborating on projects with various domestic firms, including InBody. It is developing technology that connects structured data AI to real-world predictions and decision-making.
Causilo, developed by Nums AI, performs predictions based on data organized in rows and columns, such as △sales records △transaction histories △and customer information. It can be used to address issues critical to corporate decision-making, such as predicting customer churn or product sales volume. It enables companies to link the numerical data they have accumulated to actual business decisions.
AI Commerce Tech Startup 'Termit'
AI commerce tech startup Termit has secured seed funding from Mashup Ventures. Mashup Ventures highly praised the company for rapidly securing seller touchpoints during this transitional period as we move toward an era where AI agents handle shopping. They also noted the founding team’s expertise in the fields of development, product, and sales.
Termit has launched “Creage,” a comprehensive marketing content agent. Using AI to analyze product features, it generates content essential for online sales—including AI-generated product detail pages, △thumbnails, △banners, and △short-form videos—within three minutes. According to the company, the platform is based on AI multi-agent management technology, for which it has filed Korea’s first patent application.
CEO Kim Ji-sung previously led B2B AI software projects at a medical AI startup. He gained experience in both e-commerce operations and AI product development by founding a perfume brand and an AI multi-agent platform. While operating the perfume brand, CEO Kim faced the challenge of the significant time and cost involved in producing marketing content. Believing that AI could drive productivity innovations in online commerce as well, he decided to start this company.
