[Edaily Reporter Lee Hye-ra] #Curacle announced on the 9th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the College of Pharmacy at Gyeongsang National University to strengthen joint research and R&D cooperation.
This agreement was established to expand mutual exchange in the fields of technology, education, and research, and to strengthen competitiveness in new drug development through joint research.
The signing ceremony took place yesterday at Gyeongsang National University. Attendees included Yoo Jae-hyun, CEO of Curacle; Lee Won-il, Executive Director of CAIT (Curacle Advanced Institute of Technology); Baek Seung-man, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Gyeongsang National University; and Ahn Mi-jeong, Director of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The two institutions plan to collaborate on joint research projects and the exchange of research personnel, as well as the discovery of new materials in the biohealth sector, technology development, joint training for graduate students and research staff, and the shared use of research equipment and facilities.
In particular, Curacle intends to enhance its research capabilities by collaborating with the College of Pharmacy’s Research Institute throughout the R&D process—from the discovery of new drug candidates to preclinical and clinical development. It will also leverage the latest research trends and academic networks to identify next-generation pipeline candidates.
Baek Seung-man, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, stated, “We plan to create opportunities for mutual growth by combining Curacle’s research capabilities and field experience with the College of Pharmacy’s educational system and infrastructure.”
CEO Yoo Jae-hyun said, “Just as we achieved the meaningful milestone of the global technology transfer of MT-103 through our collaboration with Maptics, we will continue to work together to generate R&D synergies based on the College of Pharmacy’s excellent research capabilities and infrastructure.”
