[Edaily Reporter Lee Hye-ra] #Lameditech announced on the 12th that it held a hands-on demonstration of its laser-based blood glucose meter, the “HandyRay-Glu,” at the “2026 Seoul Health Show,” which took place at Seoul Plaza for three days starting on the 9th.

This event was held following the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety’s first approval of the HandyRay-Glu. Approximately 300 citizens participated in the event. A satisfaction survey revealed that over 95% of participants reported that the device was less painful and more convenient to use compared to traditional lancet-based blood sampling methods.
HandyRay Glue is a product developed based on Lameditech’s ultra-compact laser technology. It is an all-in-one blood glucose meter that integrates laser blood collection and blood glucose measurement functions into a single device. Its key feature is that it supports more convenient blood glucose management by reducing the repetitive pain and psychological burden associated with the use of traditional lancets.
Notably, this event attracted not only diabetes patients but also many members of the general public with a strong interest in health management and blood glucose monitoring, demonstrating high interest in laser-based blood collection technology. Participants expressed anticipation for this new method of blood glucose management.
HandyRay Glue recently met the international blood glucose measurement accuracy standard 'ISO 15197:2013' through a clinical trial conducted at Korea University Ansan Hospital, recording an accuracy rate of 97.8%. The results of this study have been published in international academic journals.
A representative from Lameditech stated, “This Seoul Health Show was significant in that users were able to directly experience the convenience of the laser blood collection method and confirmed a high level of satisfaction.” They added, “HandyRay Glue recently began sales in Korea and is expanding its supply through specialized medical device distribution networks, pharmacies, clinics, and diabetes management channels. As we are currently pursuing European CE certification and overseas approvals, we also anticipate sales growth through future expansion into overseas markets.”
