According to the company, the fire broke out in the kitchen facilities at the Gimcheon factory. However, thanks to the fire response drills and safety management systems routinely implemented, employees evacuated quickly and took immediate action, resulting in no casualties. The fire department estimates property damage at approximately 29 million won.
A Codi official explained, “We have consistently conducted regular fire drills, followed emergency response manuals, and provided safety training. In this incident as well, the on-site response system functioned smoothly, allowing us to extinguish the fire without any casualties.”
The company announced that an emergency inspection of production facilities and inventory conducted immediately after the fire revealed that major production lines are operational and that there will be no significant disruption to supplies to clients. Consequently, the impact on sales and business performance is expected to be minimal.
