GoYoung Expects Increased Demand for Inspection Equipment Amid Expansion of Space and Humanoid Robotics - iM

[Edaily Reporter Kim Yoon-jung] iM Securities assessed that #GoYoung is expected to benefit from the expansion of cutting-edge industries such as aerospace, humanoid robots, and SOCAMM2, a next-generation AI memory module. The firm maintained its “Buy” rating and target price of 50,000 won.

On the 15th, Lee Sang-heon, an analyst at iM Securities, stated, “Demand for 3D inspection equipment and AI smart factory solutions is expected to grow in line with the expansion of production in advanced industries such as aerospace, humanoid robots, and AI infrastructure.”
According to the analysis, GoYoung’s AI smart factory solution is a system that uses AI to monitor, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes in real time. In particular, through Closed Loop technology, it can automatically integrate 3D inspection data into the production process in real time, thereby automating the inspection, analysis, and process improvement cycles.
The researcher explained, “This structure is suitable for manufacturing high-density, high-reliability components,” adding, “Aerospace components require high reliability because even process deviations on the micrometer scale can lead to critical defects.”
He analyzed, “The company’s closed-loop technology and 3D inspection equipment have begun to be applied to SpaceX’s satellite manufacturing processes,” adding, “If SpaceX’s space launches, satellite internet, and space-based AI businesses gain full momentum in the future, related demand is highly likely to expand.”
The expansion of the humanoid robot market was also cited as a contributing factor. The analyst noted, “Humanoid robots, such as Tesla’s Optimus, require highly integrated and highly reliable components due to their high-mix, low-volume production structure,” and predicted, “As humanoid robot production gains momentum, demand for the company’s AI smart factory solutions will also increase.”
The company also expects its business in testing equipment for SOCAM2—a next-generation memory module for AI servers—to gain momentum. SoCam2 is a next-generation memory module designed to enable the use of low-power DRAM (LPDDR) in servers. It features more than twice the bandwidth and less than half the power consumption compared to existing RDIMMs. Currently, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are pushing for mass production to support NVIDIA’s next-generation AI platform, “Vera Rubin.”
The analyst explained, “The company has secured purchase orders (POs) for SoCam2-related testing equipment from major domestic memory manufacturers,” adding, “As investment in AI infrastructure expands, the adoption of SoCam2—which offers high space utilization and power efficiency—will increase, leading to a significant uptick in semiconductor testing equipment sales.”
The medical robotics business was also cited as a growth driver. The analyst explained that the company’s brain surgery robot, “Geniant Cranial,” received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in January of last year and subsequently obtained approval from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) in January of this year.
The analyst stated, “Demand for adoption by hospitals is rapidly increasing, particularly in the U.S. and Japan,” adding, “We expect more than 20 units to be installed this year.”
He added, “The average selling price (ASP) of Geniant Cranial is expected to be around $1.2 million,” and noted, “As the number of installations increases, revenue growth will accelerate, making a revaluation of the company’s value possible.”
