Pushing to Boost Productivity Across All Job Categories by Introducing Claude AI
[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] NHN(181710)has held a technology-sharing event to accelerate its internal AI Transformation (AX) initiative and is working to establish Agent AI-based workflows. The company also plans to roll out its generative AI service, “Claude,” company-wide to increase AI adoption across all job roles.
NHN announced on the 7th that it held “Agentic Day,” a technology-sharing event for employees of NHN, NHN Cloud, and NHN Durey, at Play Museum in its Pangyo headquarters on the 2nd. Approximately 600 employees participated in the event. CTO Yang Cheol-woong (center) and participating team members pose for a commemorative photo marking the successful conclusion of Agentik Day. (Photo: NHN) “Agentic Day” is an event where NHN members share case studies and outcomes demonstrating how they have utilized Agent AI agents to improve efficiency in their respective roles and business areas. It was organized to motivate employees to use Agent AI agents and to establish agent-based work methods as part of the company culture.
Yang Cheol-woong, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), who was recently appointed head of NHN’s Technology Division, emphasized data and security as key elements for utilizing Agent AI in his keynote speech. He stated, “An environment where Agent AI safely connects all internal data and knowledge, along with the security that underpins it, is an essential prerequisite for moving to the next stage.”
He added, “NHN will focus on enhancing security from the development stage by leveraging AI as a tool, and will continue to create and provide safer products and services to our customers.”
The event was organized into three zones: presentations, demo booths, and an AI tutorial zone. Employees attended presentations of interest and experienced AI Agent AI-based services firsthand.
The presentation session featured project presentations by Agent AI-based development teams from each subsidiary, along with special sessions led by subsidiary leaders. Kim Yoon-hee, Director of NHN Game Convergence Lab, delivered a presentation titled “One Line of Natural Language Equals One Analysis.” NHN CTO Yang Cheol-woong delivering a presentation during the keynote session (Photo: NHN) She said, “Even planners who don’t know how to write queries can now process three to four days’ worth of data analysis in just 30 minutes with a single line of natural language,” adding, “It is important to establish clear principles regarding areas that require human intervention, taking into account anomalies unique to AI, such as hallucinations.”
Cho Young-il, Head of the AI Development Center at NHN Cloud, introduced methods for automating and standardizing security vulnerability assessments at the organizational level using AI, under the theme “Building a Harness for Development Team Leaders.”
A demo version of the internal, shared security vulnerability assessment service currently under development by the NHN Cloud Security Development Lab was also unveiled for the first time. This service is characterized by its use of a minimal number of AI tokens during the prioritization phase to enhance efficiency. It will first be piloted at NHN Cloud before being expanded to all group companies.
Fifteen booths were set up in the demo area, allowing visitors to personally test AI Agent AI-based programs developed by each team. In the AI tutorial zone, hands-on workshops were held where employees could create their own outputs using tools developed by various teams.
On the 1st, NHN rolled out Claude, an AI service from the U.S. generative AI company Anthropic, company-wide. The goal is to expand AI services—previously available mainly to the development organization—to all employees, thereby boosting AI-based productivity across all job roles.
NHN supports employees in understanding the latest AI trends and strengthening their practical application skills through its regular in-house AI training program, “AI School.” The company also encourages the safe use of AI within the organization via “Playground,” its proprietary office AI platform. NHN is expanding its programs for company-wide AX, including the inaugural “NHN AI Sprint,” held last March, where participants used AI to produce results within a limited timeframe.
