Noel Unveils Results of AI Blood Analysis Solution at Europe’s Largest Hematology Conference

[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon] #Noeul announced on the 15th that it recently participated in the European Hematology Association (EHA) 2026 conference held in Stockholm, Sweden, and presented research findings related to its AI-based blood analysis solution, ‘miLab BCM.’

EHA is a major academic event in the field of European hematology that brings together hematologists, clinical pathologists, and representatives from global in vitro diagnostics (IVD) companies from around the world.

At this conference, an abstract of the miLab BCM study conducted by medical staff from the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Asan Medical Center in Seoul was published in the EHA Academic Library. The study compared and evaluated Noeul’s AI-based blood analysis solution against results from automated blood analyzers and expert microscopic readings.

The results showed that miLab BCM demonstrated a high correlation of 0.97 or higher with large automated hematology analyzers for key complete blood count (CBC) parameters, including red blood cells (RBC), hemoglobin (Hgb), and hematocrit (Hct).

In the analysis of lymphocytes and monocytes, it demonstrated a high degree of agreement with expert readings, and in the screening evaluation of blasts—which is critical for diagnosing blood cancers—it recorded a negative predictive value (NPV) of 96%. The company explained that this confirms the device’s potential as a screening tool for rapidly filtering out normal samples in the field.

During the conference, Noeul’s exhibition booth was visited by medical professionals and industry representatives from more than 30 countries. The company conducted product demonstrations and meetings with potential customers from major European countries, including Germany, Italy, Spain, Romania, Hungary, and Greece, and discussed the possibility of product evaluation and future collaboration with some institutions.

“EHA is a major academic event where leading European hematology experts and decision-makers from medical institutions gather,” said Lim Chan-yang, CEO of Noeul. “Through this conference, we were able to introduce Noeul’s AI-based next-generation blood analysis technology and the clinical value of miLab BCM to European medical professionals and identify various opportunities for collaboration.” He added, “Building on this, we will steadily expand the adoption of miLab BCM within Europe’s advanced healthcare systems and lay the groundwork for global sales growth.”

Meanwhile, miLab BCM is an AI-based all-in-one blood analysis solution that integrates complete blood count (CBC) and blood cell morphology analysis—which were previously performed separately in conventional blood testing—into a single compact device. By automating the entire process from specimen pretreatment to digital imaging and AI analysis, it simplifies the diagnostic process and streamlines testing workflows.
