[Edaily Reporter Lee Hye-ra] #CP System announced on the 19th that it has supplied its high-purity cable protection solution, “G-CleanChain,” for domestic semiconductor edge grinder equipment to be installed at Intel’s U.S. factory. The equipment fitted with this product is scheduled to undergo final inspection and be shipped to Intel’s semiconductor factory in the U.S. CP System CI. (Photo courtesy of CP System) An edge grinder is a key processing machine that precisely grinds the edges of semiconductor wafers or substrates to reduce micro-chipping and improve yield. The G-Clean Cable Chain applied to the equipment is a high-purity product that has obtained “ISO Class 1” certification—the highest cleanroom rating—from the reputable German certification body “Fraunhofer IPA.” It is designed not only to reliably protect cables and hoses inside the equipment but also to minimize friction-generated dust and cable interference that can occur during high-speed, repetitive operation. CP System plans to use this Intel reference as a springboard to accelerate its expansion into the high-end semiconductor market. The company has already demonstrated its technical capabilities by applying the G-Clean Chain to equipment for production lines at Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, as well as Taiwan’s TSMC and Foxconn. Having consistently met the equipment specifications of global companies, the company intends to further strengthen its marketing efforts to diversify its supply channels within the global semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment market. A CP System official stated, “This supply is highly significant because a product incorporating our ultra-high-purity technology has been integrated into equipment installed at Intel’s U.S. domestic factories—Intel being a leading global semiconductor company.” The official added, “As we continue to build a track record of reliability in the demanding semiconductor equipment market, we intend to cultivate this as one of the company’s new growth engines.”
