[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] LG Uplus(032640)is partnering with Bango, a global subscription platform company based in the UK, to secure overseas AI services, following its collaboration with KTCorporation(030200). The strategy is to bring global AI services—which were previously difficult to access individually in Korea—onto the “U-Dock” subscription platform to enhance its competitiveness in the AI subscription market.
LG Uplus announced on the 6th that it is collaborating with Bango to expand the introduction of overseas AI and content services.
Starting with a video editing AI service this November, the two companies plan to sequentially introduce various global services—including generative AI, productivity AI, and creative AI—to Yudok.

Bango is a UK-based B2B subscription platform company that connects telecom carriers and platform operators with various global subscription services, enabling them to easily sell these services within their own platforms. Its core service is the “Digital Vending Machine (DVM),” which allows users to integrate and manage various digital subscription services—such as Netflix—on a single platform.
Global telecom carriers such as Verizon in the U.S. and Optus in Australia are utilizing Bango’s platform. In South Korea, KTCorporation formed a partnership with Bango last year to expand its global subscription services.
Through collaboration with Bango, telecom carriers and platform operators can proceed relatively quickly with contracts, integrations, and product launches without having to build separate systems for each overseas service. Consumers, too, can avoid the hassle of having to search for overseas websites separately to sign up or make payments.
LG Uplus will expand the global AI service lineup of “Yudo” by utilizing Bango’s DVM. The plan is to streamline the processes for contracting, system integration, and product launches for new services, thereby quickly providing a variety of overseas services to domestic customers.
“Yudok” is LG Uplus’s subscription platform that allows users to sign up for and manage a variety of subscription services—including AI, Over-the-Top (OTT) services, education, and lifestyle offerings—all in one place. It currently provides various AI services, such as Google AI Pro, as well as search, design, video editing, and education tools, and also operates “Yudok Pick AI,” which lets users select and use the AI services of their choice.
The two companies will not only identify overseas AI and content services but also pursue the development of bundled products tailored to customer demand, as well as joint marketing and promotions. They plan to secure new services focused on areas of high customer interest, such as generative AI, productivity AI, and creative AI.
Through this partnership, LG Uplus plans to expand subscription demand—which has traditionally been content-centric—into the realms of AI, productivity, and content creation.
Cho Yong-sung, Executive Vice President in charge of Partnership Business at LG Uplus, stated, “Customer demand for subscriptions is rapidly expanding beyond content into the realms of AI and productivity services.” He added, “We will make it easier and more convenient for Korean customers to access a variety of global AI services and will continue to strengthen Yudo’s competitiveness in AI subscriptions.”
