KTCorporation Launches ‘K-New Deal Academy’… to Train 200 Young Professionals in AX

Full Tuition Coverage and Training Allowances…Operated at Five Hubs Nationwide Project-Based Education Incorporating Able School’s Expertise Applications accepted until July 6… Open to unemployed youth aged 34 or younger

[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] KTCorporation(030200)is stepping up efforts to cultivate young talent to lead the era of Artificial Intelligence Transformation (AX). KTCorporation plans to establish a nationwide system for nurturing hands-on talent through the “K-New Deal Academy,” which combines KTCorporation’s AI and digital education capabilities with government support.

KTCorporation announced on the 21st that it is participating in the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s K-New Deal Academy project and will recruit 200 trainees for the first cohort of the “KT K-New Deal Academy.”

This program is aimed at unemployed young people aged 34 or younger, and those who have graduated from or are expected to graduate from a two-year college or higher are eligible to apply. Those who have previously completed the K-Digital Training program may also apply.

The program will be held at five locations nationwide, including Pangyo, Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju, and Busan. Tuition is fully covered, and trainees who meet attendance requirements will also receive a training allowance.

KTCorporation has incorporated the educational expertise gained from “AIVLE School,” its AI and DX talent development program that has been running since 2021, into this initiative. A key feature of the program is its focus on strengthening practical skills through project-based learning (PBL) that solves real-world industry problems, going beyond mere theoretical instruction.

In particular, more than half of the entire curriculum consists of training led by current industry professionals. Trainees will receive mentoring and project guidance from KTCorporation’s in-house experts, as well as participate in visits to KTCorporation Group companies and job experience programs.

KTCorporation has also focused on bridging the digital education gap between regions. The company plans to provide the same level of AX training not only in the Seoul metropolitan area but also in major hubs outside the capital region to improve accessibility for young people in those areas.

In addition, KT plans to run programs designed to improve organizational adaptability—such as training in business communication, collaboration skills, and work productivity—to help graduates adjust more effectively to the workplace after they are hired.

Lee Seon-ju, Executive Vice President and Head of KTCorporation’s Talent Division, stated, “In the AX era, it is crucial to have talent equipped not only with technical skills but also with problem-solving and collaboration abilities,” adding, “Based on KTCorporation’s accumulated expertise in ICT and AX, as well as our educational experience, we will actively support young people in successfully entering the workforce.”

Applications for the training program are open through the KTCorporation K-New Deal Academy website until July 6.
