[Edaily Reporter Kim Seung-kwon ] #SAMSUNG EPIS HOLDINGS announced on the 1st that it held an opening ceremony for its China R&D (Research and Development) center on the 30th of last month. This center marks SAMSUNG EPIS HOLDINGS’ first overseas R&D hub.

The company established the center as a field-specific organization to secure a technology platform centered on antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and strengthen its new drug development capabilities.
SAMSUNG EPIS HOLDINGS explained that Changping District in Beijing, where the center is located, is home to the Zhongguancun Life Sciences Park—a biotechnology industrial complex—and is adjacent to Peking University and Tsinghua University, making it an ideal location for leveraging research infrastructure and human resources.
Kim Kyung-ah, President of SAMSUNG EPIS HOLDINGS, said, “Going forward, we will work closely with the Chinese biotech ecosystem and strive to continuously expand new business initiatives, such as the discovery of innovative drug candidates.”
