VUNO, Inc. Signs Sales Agreement with Hativ for Five Middle Eastern Countries... "First Export Achievement"

[Edaily Reporter Kim Seung-kwon ] VUNO, Inc.(338220)has secured sales contracts with five countries—Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq—marking its first export success in the Middle Eastern market.

VUNO, Inc. announced on the 1st that it operated a joint booth with HealthArena at “CardioAlex,” the largest cardiology conference in the Middle East and Africa, held from the 9th to the 12th of last month, and exhibited its AI-based portable ECG medical device, “HATIV P30.”

The HATIV P30 garnered significant local interest due to its ability to perform simple and accurate ECG tests based on a 6-lead system, its performance validated through numerous studies, and its multiple global approvals, including those from Europe (CE-MDR), the UK (UKCA), Egypt, and Indonesia.

The two companies had previously signed an exclusive sales agreement for the HATIV P30 covering five countries: Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq. The Middle East is a market where demand for solutions that improve access to healthcare is growing as the adoption of telemedicine expands. Through this agreement, VUNO, Inc. achieved its first export success in the Middle East and has begun its full-scale expansion into overseas markets.

A VUNO, Inc. representative stated, “It is highly significant that VUNO, Inc.’s solutions, backed by global technological capabilities and regulatory approvals, have led to tangible exports through local partnerships.”

Prior to this, VUNO, Inc. participated in the “38th Asia-Pacific Academy of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (APACRS)” held in Thailand from the 4th to the 6th of last month. APACRS is a conference that brings together ophthalmologists from across the Asia-Pacific region.

VUNO, Inc. operated a joint booth with its Thai partner, Hollywood International (HTT), centered on its AI-based fundus image diagnostic aid, “Vuno Med-Fundus AI” (hereinafter “Fundus AI”). Through this, the company highlighted the product’s clinical utility and market potential while expanding its local network. Building on this conference, discussions regarding the adoption of Fundus AI are expected to gain momentum, particularly in public hospitals and clinics in Thailand—where there is a shortage of ophthalmologists—thereby accelerating the company’s entry into the local market.

Fundus AI is an AI medical device that analyzes fundus images to identify the presence or absence of 12 abnormal findings necessary for disease diagnosis. As research has shown that using this solution reduces diagnostic discrepancies based on the experience level of medical staff, VUNO, Inc. plans to expand into markets in Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Lee Ye-ha, CEO of VUNO, Inc., stated, “Through our participation in these international medical events, we have confirmed the high level of local interest in our solution.” She added, “Building on our first export success in the Middle East, we plan to accelerate our entry into the global market by leveraging our product’s competitiveness—validated through numerous studies—and local partnerships.”
