NEXUS, Partners with DCS Pay… Pushes for Global Payments Using Cross Token

Partnership to Support Cross Token Payments Across Global Merchant Networks DCS Group, Singaporean Financial Group…Hold Credit Card Issuance Licenses Stablecoin Settlement and Web3 Payment Card Integration Under Review

[Edaily Reporter Lee So-Hyun ] Action Square Co., Ltd.(205500)has partnered with global payment platform DCS Pay to expand the use of the CROSS ($CROSS) token for real-world payments.

NEXUS announced on the 1st that it has signed a strategic business agreement with DCS Pay regarding the use of token payments and stablecoin settlement.

DCS Pay is a payment platform operated by DCS Fintech Hong Kong Limited, a subsidiary of the DCS Group.

The DCS Group is a Singapore-based financial group that holds a license to issue credit cards through DCS Card Centre Pte. Ltd. under the supervision of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). The DCS Group operates a payment network comprising millions of merchant locations, as well as infrastructure for card issuance, payment collection, and settlement.

Under this agreement, the two companies will integrate their respective payment infrastructures to expand their payment reach.

First, they will pursue a plan to support CROSS Token and the ecosystem dollar, CROSS-D ($CROSSD), as payment currencies within DCS Pay’s global merchant network. The vision is to enable global users to utilize CROSS Token when purchasing actual goods and services offline.

Plans are also underway to integrate DCS Pay’s payment solutions across the entire CROSS platform built by NEXUS. The companies plan to introduce multi-chain-based stablecoin settlement to support transactions on CROSS Shop.

The two companies are also exploring further collaboration leveraging the DCS Group’s global card issuance capabilities. The DCS Group operates the DCS DeCard, a card that enables the use of stablecoins such as Tether (USDT) and Circle (USDC) for everyday payments.

It also possesses the issuance infrastructure that allows other companies to launch stablecoin cards under their own brands. NEXUS is exploring the integration of CS CORPORATION’s infrastructure with the CROSS ecosystem to enable Web3 payment cards linked to the global credit card network. Through this, the companies plan to create an environment where CROSS tokens can be used as a real payment method at merchants worldwide.

The two companies also plan to discuss the establishment of an integrated payment network connecting virtual assets and fiat currencies. The goal is to create an environment where global users can make payments with virtual assets not only within the Cross ecosystem but also anywhere, both online and offline.

Sean Dong, Head of Business Operations at DCS Pay, stated, “We are proud that NEXUS, which is building a digital ecosystem that is gaining global attention, has chosen DCS Pay as its payment infrastructure partner.” He added, “As gaming is emerging as one of the most powerful real-life use cases for digital assets, we are pleased that our two companies will be able to build a safe and convenient payment environment.”

Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of NEXUS, remarked, “This collaboration marks another milestone for CROSS as it establishes itself as a global real-life payment infrastructure beyond the gaming ecosystem.” He continued, “By partnering with CS CORPORATION, which possesses global card issuance capabilities, we will build a digital payment ecosystem that both global users and merchants can trust and use.”

Meanwhile, following NEXUS’s acquisition of the domestic app store “One Store,” the CROSS ecosystem will undergo a rebranding: the mainnet CROSS (CROSS) will be renamed ONEChain, and the native token CROSS ($CROSS) will be renamed ONE. The ecosystem dollar, CROSSD ($CROSSD), will be renamed ONEUSD ($ONEUSD). Under this structure, ONEUSD will serve as the medium of exchange for transactions, while ONE will function as a store of value.
