[E-Daily Reporter Kim Yeong-hwan ] ITM Semiconductor Co., Ltd(084850)is positioning its e-cigarette business as a new growth engine as its Indonesian manufacturing subsidiary begins full-scale mass production of e-cigarette DEVICES. In the first quarter of this year, revenue from the e-cigarette business reached 42.1 billion won, a 55.4% increase from the same period last year, accounting for approximately 32% of total revenue. Since establishing its Indonesian manufacturing subsidiary last year, the company has completed the installation of production facilities, secured specialized personnel, and refined its quality control system, and began mass production of e-cigarette DEVICES in January of this year.
The Indonesian subsidiary is located in the Cikarang area. Completed in July of last year, the facility has a site area of 13,000 square meters (approximately 4,000 pyeong) and a building area of 9,500 square meters (approximately 2,900 pyeong). By securing production facilities and specialized personnel that meet the quality standards of global clients and establishing a systematic quality control system, the company has built a stable mass production infrastructure.
In particular, the Indonesian subsidiary has secured space to expand production lines in the future to meet growing customer demand. Based on this expanded production capacity, the company plans to actively pursue new customers and additional orders to strengthen its competitiveness in the e-cigarette business.
The e-cigarette business is growing into one of the company’s core business pillars, alongside its existing protection circuit and sensor businesses. ITM Semiconductor Co., Ltd. plans to secure a stable revenue base by expanding e-cigarette device production and securing new orders, while also actively fostering future growth engines such as robotics and defense components.
