VAYONN is the second boy group to be launched by Incode Entertainment—founded by singer Kim Jae-joong—following Kibit Up, which debuted last April. The group consists of six members: Sen (Japan), Masato (Japan), Ayang (China), Jinwei (China), Teru (Japan), and Mano (South Korea). It is notable that this is a multinational group with only one Korean member. Four members—Sen, Masato, Ayang, and Jinwei—are also alumni of Mnet’s idol survival program “Boys 2 Planet.” On this day, the members expressed their determination, saying, “We’ve been waiting for this moment for a very long time,” and added, “We received help from so many people while preparing for our debut, and we will work hard to repay that support through our activities.” Regarding the group’s name, they explained, “It embodies our aspiration to amplify youth through our voices and write a new narrative.” (Photo courtesy of Incode Entertainment)

It’s an album that asks, ‘What is your youth like today?’” Mano added, “I’m grateful to Producer Kim Jae-joong for his explanations and advice regarding the keyword ‘youth.’” The album’s title track, “Mua!,” is a high-school dance-pop song featuring refreshing synth sounds and upbeat drumming. It captures the bright energy of youth, which views even the scorching summer sun as a sign of love. Masato said, “It’s characterized by an addictive melody,” adding, “It captures Bayon’s refreshing energy.” He continued, “We plan to use the choreography—which features cute hand gestures to convey charm—as a dance challenge segment.” Among the tracks, “Super Lucky Song”—which expresses the hope that all young people will be filled with good fortune—features lyrics co-written by Kim Jae-joong. Teru remarked, “I didn’t know about this at first. I only found out after seeing the credits,” and added, “Thank you for writing such great lyrics.” The full album will be released at 6 p.m. today on various online music platforms. The members urged fans, “We’ll work really hard to become ‘great artists,’ so please cheer us on.”
