On the 14th, Kim Kang-woo’s agency explained, “Kim Kang-woo has reached 1 million subscribers about a year after launching his personal YouTube channel, ‘Kim Kang-woo KIMKANGWOO,’ in April of last year.”
Since launching the channel, Kim Kang-woo has consistently shared his daily life and interests while engaging with viewers. By capturing simple, down-to-earth moments—from travel and cooking to small, everyday moments with his family—he has shown his natural side and resonated with his audience.
Above all, the reason viewers have taken notice of Kim Kang-woo’s channel is his authenticity. This is because Kim Kang-woo’s true self is woven throughout his content. As an actor accustomed to standing in front of the camera, his hands-on involvement—from planning the content to filming and editing—in building the channel resonated even more authentically with viewers. In particular, it is well known that Kim Kang-woo’s sister-in-law is Han Hye-jin. Han Hye-jin, who had sparked viewers’ curiosity, and his brother-in-law Ki Sung-yueng even made appearances, adding to the fun.
When he launched his YouTube channel, he stated, “I hope it remains a good channel.” He also described his channel as “a place that captures the story of my life and the story of my wife and children living together.” His sincere desire to honestly share stories that are more like a record of life than flashy content became the channel’s identity and resonated deeply with many viewers.
Kim Kang-woo is also continuing his career as an actor. He is set to meet viewers in the new KBS2 epic drama *Munmu*, scheduled to air in the second half of this year, where he will play the role of Kim Chun-chu, Silla’s first king of the Jingol class.
