Following its recent win of a 13.8 billion won contract for the replacement of aging Hi-Pass terminals, awarded by the Korea Expressway Corporation, IL has now secured exclusive operating rights for special sales centers nationwide, thereby establishing a business structure that encompasses both equipment supply and operational services. This move allows the company to move beyond a one-time supply model, secure ongoing customer touchpoints and an operational foundation, and further strengthen its ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) platform business.

HANPASS CO.,Ltd. is a leading ITS infrastructure that enables vehicles to automatically pay tolls without stopping, serving as a core system for enhancing traffic efficiency and user convenience on South Korea’s highways. Nationwide sales centers act as the closest points of contact for HANPASS users, serving as crucial operational hubs that provide terminal purchase and registration, customer support, and maintenance services.

In particular, the company explained that demand through these sales centers is expected to rise following HANPASS CO.,Ltd.’s recent decision to expand its Hi-Pass terminal purchase subsidy program to include drivers of compact cars and taxis. This expansion of the subsidy program is projected to have a positive impact not only on boosting Hi-Pass adoption but also on increasing the number of customers visiting the sales centers.
