[Edaily Reporter KIM JI-WAN ] IL SCIENCE CO.,LTD.(307180)announced on the 22nd that it is rapidly expanding its humanoid robot business by broadening the supply of its humanoid robot “ILBOT” to various industries, while also accelerating the demonstration of Physical AI and the collection of operational data based on its own smart factory.

Starting with an initial supply contract worth approximately 3 billion won with Company H last May, IL is expanding the supply of ILBOT to various industries, including entertainment, retail, and manufacturing. The company is currently in discussions with several other companies regarding additional supply agreements and plans to continuously broaden its scope of application across the manufacturing and service sectors.

In particular, the company has recently expanded its scope beyond simply supplying humanoids to include integrated platforms that incorporate control systems and operational software. By providing full-stack solutions that encompass not only robot hardware (HW) but also software (SW) for control, operations, and data management, the company supports customers throughout the entire process—from humanoid adoption to operation.

In addition, IL is utilizing its Cheonan Smart Factory as a Physical AI demonstration hub, where it operates ILBots on an ongoing basis on actual mass production lines. This is particularly significant because the company is operating humanoids in real production environments—rather than in separate testbeds—thereby simultaneously advancing both manufacturing automation and AI performance.

Currently, the IL-Bot is progressively performing various manufacturing tasks, including material transport, movement between processes, parts supply, equipment inspection, patrols, and repetitive tasks. The real-world operational data accumulated during this process—such as task execution, movement, charging, malfunctions, and recovery—is utilized for AI training, continuously improving the humanoid’s task accuracy and autonomy.

The company operates its own smart factory not merely as a production facility, but as a hub for humanoid AI training and Physical AI validation. It is establishing a virtuous cycle that continuously improves humanoid performance based on operational data collected from real industrial sites, and plans to expand the application of this validated operational model to various manufacturing sectors, including automotive parts, automotive electronics, logistics, electronics, and chemicals.

Furthermore, the company intends to continuously strengthen the competitiveness of its humanoid platform based on operational data accumulated not only in manufacturing but also in various industries such as logistics, distribution, and entertainment, and to expand its range of physical AI service models optimized for each industry.

An IL official stated, “The competitiveness of humanoids depends on how much operational data is accumulated in actual industrial settings and how effectively it is utilized for AI training,” adding, “Based on operational models validated in our own smart factories, IL will continue to expand the supply of our humanoid platform and grow into South Korea’s leading Physical AI platform company, driving the AI Transformation (AX) across various industries, including manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and services.”
