On the 22nd, Hugel, Inc. announced that it participated in the “Global Aesthetics Summit” (GAS), held from the 19th to the 21st at the Tai Horizon in Goa, India, and announced the official launch of its botulinum toxin product “Letybo” in the Indian market.
India, with the world’s largest population of approximately 1.5 billion and an expanding middle class, is seeing steady growth in demand for aesthetic medicine. However, the penetration rate of botulinum toxin treatments remains low relative to the total population, leading to assessments that the market holds significant growth potential.
Hugel, Inc. plans to accelerate its initial market penetration with the goal of achieving a 9% share of the Indian aesthetic market this year. At the GAS conference, the company partnered with its local distributor, Aakaar Medical, to build brand awareness and establish a network of key opinion leaders (KOLs).
Benjamin Chan, Hugel, Inc.’s Australian KOL who served as a speaker at the event, highlighted the product’s unique selling points by introducing the predictable treatment results achieved through Retivo’s “Narrow Diffusion” mechanism.
Hugel, Inc. plans to hold separate launch events and hands-on workshops in collaboration with its local distributor through the 24th. Furthermore, the company intends to continuously expand academic exchanges with KOLs and solidify its brand presence in the Indian market. Through these efforts, Hugel, Inc. aims to use India as a springboard to expand into the Asia-Pacific region and further strengthen Retivo’s position in the global market.
Jang Doo-hyun, CEO of Hugel, Inc., stated, “India is a market with very high preference and interest in ‘K-Aesthetics,’ and we plan to actively leverage Hugel, Inc.’s strength as the No. 1 domestic toxin brand for 10 consecutive years in our marketing efforts.” He added, “We will drive expansion in the Indian market and secure new global growth engines.”
