(Photo: Finemedix Co., Ltd.) Finemedix Co., Ltd. announced on the 23rd that it held a board of directors meeting on the 22nd and resolved to enter into a trust agreement with Korea Investment & Securities for the repurchase of 1 billion won worth of treasury stock. The number of shares to be repurchased is approximately 256,410, based on the closing price on the day prior to the board resolution, and the contract period is one year, from July 23, 2026, to July 22, 2027. The company explained that this decision to repurchase its own shares reflects its confidence in its mid- to long-term growth strategy—which is based on strengthening competitiveness in the total gastrointestinal endoscopy solutions business and expanding into global markets—as well as its commitment to enhancing shareholder value and responsible management. In particular, the company emphasized that this is a significant move as it marks the first share buyback since its listing on KOSDAQ in December 2024. Finemedix Co., Ltd. is accelerating its expansion into global markets this year, with a focus on the U.S., Japan, and Europe. In the U.S., the “ClearTip EBUS-TBNA” bronchial ultrasound endoscopy procedure device has received positive feedback during sample testing at major medical institutions, and the company is currently discussing expanding the supply of the initial batch. In Japan, the company is focusing on adjusting supply prices and strengthening the official launch and marketing efforts in line with the expanding sales of the “ClearCut Knife,” a procedure device for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). Furthermore, centered on its next-generation line of surgical instruments—which recently obtained European CE MDR certification—the company is aggressively expanding its overseas business foundation by actively pursuing ODM and OEM partnerships with global medical device companies. Jeon Seong-woo, CEO of Finemedix Co., Ltd., stated, “Based on our proprietary technology in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy, Finemedix Co., Ltd. is rapidly expanding its business in the global medical device market, and our growth strategy—centered on expanding overseas sales and high-value-added products—is gradually yielding tangible results.” He added, “While continuing to pursue both quantitative and qualitative growth, we will actively review various policies to enhance shareholder value and do our utmost to strengthen market trust and increase our corporate value.”
