[Edaily Reporter Kweon A-in ] DREAMTECH(192650), a comprehensive electronics company, announced on the 28th that it will begin a full-scale expansion of its semiconductor business following its relocation to the Dongtan facility and the establishment of a new DEVICE Solutions (DS) division.

With the relocation to the Dongtan facility, DREAMTECH plans to transform its domestic base into a hub focused on research and development (R&D) and customer support, while reorganizing its manufacturing functions to global production hubs in Vietnam, India, and other locations. Based on this, the company aims to improve response times and operational efficiency across its business units.

The company has also laid the organizational groundwork for expanding its semiconductor business. DREAMTECH established a new Semiconductor Division and appointed Lee Sang-jae, a former SamsungElectronics executive and expert in the field, as head of the DS Division. Lee is a semiconductor expert who previously served as Executive Vice President of Design and Test Technology at SamsungElectronics’ DRAM Development Lab and as Vice President of Quality for TSP (Test & System PKG).

The company is also ramping up production investments. It has decided to invest a total of 25.4 billion won in expanding memory module production lines at its Indian plant and in building utility and information technology (IT) infrastructure. The goal is to complete the line expansion by September. In addition, the company is preparing to begin mass production and supply of products for artificial intelligence (AI) data centers and servers for major clients in the Americas, and is conducting quality testing for key product lines with global customers, as well as preparing for SSD and PSSD certification and mass production.

Lee Sang-jae, Head of DREAMTECH’s DS Division, stated, “DREAMTECH is rapidly expanding its memory module business based on its production hub in India,” adding, “We will grow the semiconductor division into a growth engine on par with our existing core business of IT device component modules.”
