[Edaily Reporter KIM HYUNSIK ] HYBE (352820) announced on the 28th that its consolidated revenue for the second quarter of this year reached 1.45 trillion won, with operating profit at 170.9 billion won. These figures represent year-over-year increases of 105.5% and 159.3%, respectively.

Both revenue and operating profit reached all-time highs on a quarterly basis. This marks the first time HYBE’s quarterly revenue has exceeded 1 trillion won, and its quarterly operating profit has also surpassed 100 billion won for the first time. It is also the first time the company’s half-year revenue has exceeded 2 trillion won.
Detailed performance figures for key segments also set new records. The live performance segment, which accounts for direct participation revenue, recorded 647.7 billion won, while the music album segment recorded 326.8 billion won. Among indirect participation revenue, the merchandise and licensing segment achieved a record high of 310.6 billion won, reflecting a synergistic rise alongside live performances.
HYBE stated, “This is the result of achieving both quantitative and qualitative growth through our artists’ comprehensive activities,” adding, “The strong performance in direct participation revenue was particularly notable thanks to the artists’ successive comebacks and world tours.”
The company more than doubled its revenue compared to the same period last year while also achieving a double-digit operating profit margin (11.8%). HYBE explained, “BTS, which embarked on a world tour last April, served as the driving force behind the second-quarter results.”
A total of seven HYBE-affiliated idol groups—including BTS, Tomorrow X Together (TXT), ENHYPEN, N.TEAM, Boy Next Door, TWS, and Cortis—achieved “million-seller” status in the first half of the year, meaning they each sold over 1 million albums.

In addition to album promotions, the agency’s artists were also actively engaged in concert activities. In the first half of the year alone, 12 groups held a total of 119 concerts. HYBE stated, “More than 200 concerts are scheduled for the second half of the year,” adding, “Last year, 10 groups held a total of 279 concerts. This year’s number of performances is expected to significantly exceed that figure.” The company added, “As tour activities increase, we anticipate a boost in sales of related merchandise, as well as improved performance in the merchandise and licensing sectors driven by events such as ‘The City Project.’”
Meanwhile, the fan platform Weverse set a new all-time high for MAU (monthly active users) for the second consecutive quarter, reaching 14.43 million. Total payment volume and ARPPU (average revenue per paying user) also grew by 12% and 24%, respectively, compared to the previous quarter.
Lee Jae-sang, CEO of HYBE, stated, “Our second-quarter results are the fruit of our consistent efforts toward business innovation,” adding, “We will continue to pursue our expansion and growth strategies.”
