[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] The film “The Resurrected Man: The Red,” which promises thrilling action this fall, has confirmed its September release and unveiled its poster. In this film, Koo Kyo-hwan takes on the role of Seok-hwan, a man whose abilities grow stronger with each death, marking a new transformation for the actor. Having previously showcased his distinctive acting style across various genres, he is now taking on his first full-fledged action role, promising action sequences that grow increasingly intense with each resurrection. Shin Seung-ho, Kang Ki-young, Kim Si-ah, and Kim Sung-ryung join the cast to add depth to the film. The poster released alongside the announcement features “Seok-hwan” sporting a composed expression despite his battered face and the bullet holes in the wall behind him. It succinctly captures the character’s transformation from an ordinary job seeker into a being who transcends death, while also drawing attention to Koo Kyohwan’s new look with his striking red hairstyle. In particular, the tagline “I died, but I came back to life” intuitively reveals the premise of the series and foreshadows “Seok-hwan’s” exploits—growing stronger with each cycle of death—as well as high-impact action sequences. “The Resurrected Man: The Red” is produced by Yong Film, the studio behind “The Square,” “Romantic Anonymous,” “20th Century Girl,” “The Outlaws,” “Lucky,” and “The Beauty Inside,” and is set to hit theaters this September.
