[Edaily JAEMIN SONG Choi Oh-hyun Reporter] “In South Korea, we plan to develop Icheon and Yongin as production hubs for next-generation DRAM and AI memory, and Cheongju as a production hub covering NAND and advanced packaging. The large-scale investment announced recently is also intended to proactively secure the infrastructure needed for the future. Going forward, when deciding on production hubs, we plan to select the optimal locations by comprehensively considering factors such as power, water supply, workforce, supply chains, and customer accessibility. However, aside from what has been announced, there are no additional investment decisions made overseas, such as in the U.S. or Japan. We will respond promptly to growing customer demand while efficiently expanding production capacity by maximizing the use of our existing production hubs.”
