[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] Actress Kim Go-eun took home the Grand Prize trophy at the Blue Dragon Series Awards.

On the afternoon of the 31st, at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards held at Paradise City in Incheon, Kim Go-eun received the prestigious Grand Prize. She shared her thoughts, saying, “I have never taken my work for granted. With every project, I strive to approach it with diligence, passion, and a strong sense of responsibility.” She added, “I will work hard to keep people curious about me, so please give me many more opportunities.”
The Best Drama Award went to TVING’s *The Legend of the Mess Sergeant*, while the Best Variety Show Award went to Netflix’s *Born Single, But I Want to Date 2*. Kim Won-hoon of *SNL Korea* won Best Male Variety Performer, and Kim Sook of *D-Driver: The Rival* won Best Female Variety Performer. The Excellence in Variety Awards went to “Driver: The Rival” and Jeong Yi-rang from “Sisters’ Café.”
The Supporting Actor Awards went to Yoon Kyung-ho for “Becoming a Legendary Mess Hall Soldier” and Park Bo-kyung for “Lady Dua.” Yoon Kyung-ho took the stage in tears and said, “This is an award I could never have received on my own. It was only possible because of my colleagues who worked alongside me.” He added, “My dream is to have a long-lasting career. I don’t want to be someone who merely lives up to the position granted by this award; I want to stay with everyone consistently for a long time, though I know that’s difficult. I take this award as a message to continue holding my ground in the future, and I’ll accept it gratefully, considering it an award for all of us.”
When Park Bo-kyung received her award, her husband, Jin Seon-kyu, burst into tears. Park Bo-kyung shared her thoughts, saying, “When I watch award ceremonies, I find the acceptance speeches to be more genuine and heartfelt than any monologue, and I cry and laugh as I watch them. I used to wonder if a day like that would ever come in my life, and I’d shake my head, thinking, ‘I wish I could at least try out for an audition.’ But I’m grateful that you’ve given me the chance to give this acceptance speech.”
The Best Newcomer Awards went to Kim Gyu-won from “SNL Korea,” Shim Ja-yoon from “Office Workers,” Kim Jae-won from “Yumi’s Cells 3,” and Jeon So-young from “Girigo.” Kim Jae-won credited his co-star Kim Go-eun, saying, “To the incredibly beautiful Go-eun noona, I’ve learned so much from you and relied on you a lot. Thank you,” and added, “I’m here today thanks to my fans. I’m well aware that winning this award doesn’t make me perfect. Tomorrow, I might mess up my lines or trip and fall, but I’ll be like a roly-poly toy and get back up again.”
The opening performance was delivered by Kim Min-ha, last year’s Best New Actress winner. Kim Min-ha selected the jazz song “That’s Life” and delivered a captivating performance.
The Blue Dragon Series Awards is Korea’s first awards ceremony dedicated to streaming series content. The nominees, announced earlier, were selected from dramas and variety shows released on domestic and international streaming platforms between June 1 of last year and May 31 of this year.
