[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] Kakao Games ( Kakao Games Corp.(293490)) announced on the 4th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Thegim Entertainment, the holder of the “Director Kim” and “Looks-First Society” IPs, to develop and operate games based on intellectual property (IP).

Through this agreement, Kakao Games Corp. will be able to utilize the comic and webtoon IP owned by Thegim Entertainment for game development and service.

The two companies plan to expand competitive content IP into games to provide users with a richer gaming experience.

Thegim Entertainment, a renowned webtoon production company founded by webtoon artist Park Tae-jun, owns numerous comic and webtoon IPs that have gained popularity both domestically and in global markets, including “Manager Kim” and “Looks Matter.”

Lee Si-woo, CEO of Kakao Games Corp., stated, “We expect that this partnership with Thegim Entertainment, which possesses powerful IPs and a loyal fan base, will bring new enjoyment to users,” adding, “We will engage in meaningful collaboration to create games that will attract significant attention in the global market.”
