Inventage Lab Inc. Selected for Global TIPS Program… Full-Scale Development of ‘IVL3004’ for U.S. Phase 2 Clinical Trial Begins

[Edaily Reporter NA EUN-KYUNG ] Inventage Lab Inc.(389470)announced on the 5th that its development project for IVL3004 (active ingredient: naltrexone), a long-acting drug addiction treatment, has been selected for the “2026 Investment and Financing-Linked Technology Development Program: Policy-Designated Global TIPS.”

The Policy-Designated Global TIPS program is an initiative in which the Ministry of Health and Welfare identifies and recommends biohealth companies with high potential for global market entry, while the Ministry of SMEs and Startups provides support for research and development. It offers linked government R&D support to companies that possess a certain level of private investment and commercialization capabilities; this year, Inventage Lab Inc.’s project was selected in the biohealth sector. Selected companies can receive up to 6 billion won in R&D funding over a maximum of four years to advance global late-stage clinical trials and commercialization.

Following this selection, Inventage Lab Inc. plans to proceed in earnest with the global Phase 2 clinical development of “IVL3004” after regulatory consultations with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

IVL3004 is a once-monthly formulation for the treatment of substance use disorder that utilizes Inventage Lab Inc.’s microfluidic-based long-acting drug delivery platform, “IVL-DrugFluidic.” A major challenge in treating substance use disorder is that treatment requires consistent, long-term medication administration, yet low treatment adherence often leads to frequent discontinuation. Long-acting injectable formulations are viewed as a viable alternative because they can maintain therapeutic efficacy with just one injection per month, thereby improving treatment adherence and continuity.

The company previously explained that in a global Phase 1 clinical trial, the drug maintained stable, effective blood concentrations for four weeks at a dose approximately 20% lower than that of existing commercial products, while also shortening the duration of injection site reactions, thereby confirming its pharmacokinetic properties and tolerability.

Inventage Lab Inc. plans to pursue technology transfer and joint development with global pharmaceutical companies through this project. Kim Ju-hee, CEO of Inventage Lab Inc., stated, “While long-acting treatments for substance use disorders have proven commercial viability, this is a field with high technical barriers to entry,” adding, “We will use this selection for the Global TIPS program as an opportunity to further accelerate global late-stage clinical trials and commercialization.”
