The company plans to fully launch its push into the global AI infrastructure market by leveraging its controller technology, a core component of high-performance SSDs.

FADU INC. announced on the 5th that it presented its “FADU 2.0” vision and unveiled AI data center-specific solutions and a next-generation product roadmap at “FMS (Future of Memory and Storage) 2026,” a global memory and storage event held in Silicon Valley, USA.

Recently, competition in the AI data center sector has expanded beyond simple computational performance to focus on how quickly and efficiently large-scale data can be processed. Consequently, the performance of SSDs—which store and retrieve data—and the controller technology that manages them are emerging as key factors in AI infrastructure competitiveness.

An SSD controller is a core semiconductor that handles data processing between NAND flash and server systems. It determines data processing speed, power efficiency, and product stability, thereby directly impacting the operating costs and performance of AI data centers.

Nam I-hyun, CEO of FADU INC., stated, “Controller technology will play a pivotal role in overcoming the extreme performance demands of AI data centers and the limitations of NAND flash,” adding, “We will pursue the core goals of ‘FADU INC. 2.0’: leading the data center SSD market, driving NAND-based innovation tailored to AI demand, and strengthening customer support.”

Gen6 Controller to Be Supplied in the Second Half of the Year… Full-Scale Push into AI Data Centers Begins
At this year’s FMS 2026, FADU INC. unveiled its next-generation flagship product, the “Gen6 Controller,” and SSD solutions incorporating it for the first time.

The Gen6 Controller delivers more than twice the performance of the previous Gen5 model and is designed to reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) for data centers while improving power efficiency.

In particular, the company showcased a physical SSD equipped with the Gen6 controller and conducted a performance demonstration at the event. FADU INC. demonstrated results on-site that matched its official performance metrics, highlighting the competitiveness of its next-generation storage solutions.

FADU INC. has completed preparations to supply Gen6 products in time for the market’s launch and plans to begin shipments to customers in the second half of this year. As demand for high-performance eSSDs increases alongside the expansion of AI data centers, the company expects Gen6 to be a key driver of future earnings growth.

Profitable
for Two Consecutive Quarters… AI Data Center Demand Drives Growth
FADU INC. has also confirmed the positive impact of expanding AI infrastructure in its recent financial results.

FADU INC. recorded consolidated revenue of 73.2 billion won and operating profit of 16.3 billion won in the second quarter of this year, achieving profitability for the second consecutive quarter. Revenue increased by approximately 23% compared to the previous quarter, while operating profit rose by 111%.

Cumulative revenue for the first half of the year totaled 132.7 billion won, with operating profit reaching 24.0 billion won. Analysts note that the company, which had been posting losses through last year, has now entered a phase of sustained performance improvement, driven by the combined effects of expanded supply of high-performance SSD controllers for AI data centers and cost efficiency measures.

As investment in AI data centers expands, the market for SSDs and controllers—which store and process data—is expected to grow alongside that for GPUs. Based on this improved performance, FADU INC. plans to accelerate its efforts to secure global data center customers and expand its market presence.

Gen7 Launch in 2028… Securing Technology Specialized for AI Inference
FADU INC. also unveiled plans to develop its next-generation “Gen7” controller as a medium- to long-term growth driver.

Gen7 is a product designed to address the surging demand for AI data processing by incorporating a decode engine optimized for AI inference environments. FADU INC. is proceeding with development with the goal of supplying samples to clients in 2028, aiming to secure a leading position in the next-generation AI data center market.

Additionally, the company plans to expand its product portfolio to meet the diverse needs of AI data centers, moving beyond a strategy centered on a single controller.

CEO Nam stated, “Through FMS, we will showcase FADU INC.’s technological capabilities and business roadmap to the global market and use this as an opportunity to attract new customers,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen our technological leadership within the AI data center ecosystem.”
