[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] Netmarble Corporation(251270)announced on the 5th that it posted consolidated revenue of 749.2 billion won and operating profit of 80.1 billion won for the second quarter. Revenue decreased by 4.4% and operating profit decreased by 20.8% year-over-year.
EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) stood at 112 billion won, a 14.6% decrease year-over-year, while net income rose 27.3% year-over-year to 203.9 billion won.
For the first half of 2026, cumulative revenue totaled 1.4009 trillion won, and operating profit reached 133.2 billion won. Cumulative net income for the first half was 414.8 billion won. Compared to the same period last year, revenue increased by 4.4%, operating profit decreased by 11.7%, and net income increased by 72.5%.
Second-quarter overseas revenue totaled 580.8 billion won (78% of total revenue), rising 13.4% from the previous quarter and 22.6% year-over-year, highlighting the strong growth of the overseas segment.
As of the second quarter, revenue breakdown by region was diverse, with North America accounting for 39%, South Korea 22%, Europe 13%, Southeast Asia 10%, Japan 9%, and other regions 7%.
By genre, revenue breakdown was 42% for RPGs, 35% for casual games, 17% for MMORPGs (massively multiplayer online role-playing games), and 6% for others, continuing to demonstrate a diversified portfolio.
Kim Byung-kyu, CEO of Netmarble Corporation, stated, “We are strengthening our business capabilities this year by expanding our services across various platforms.” He added, “Furthermore, in the second half of the year, we will strive to enhance the stability of our performance by refining our live services and maintain our growth momentum through the development of differentiated new titles.”
Netmarble Corporation aims to launch three new titles in the second half of the year: “I Level Up Alone: Karma,” “Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Strongest Species,” and “Project EGIS Co., Ltd.” Of these, the first two titles are scheduled to be unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show in September 2026, alongside “Pearl in Blue,” a subculture-themed collectible RPG currently in development with a target release date of 2027.
