[Edaily Reporter Hong Ju-yeon ] GCMediAI, a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI)-based medical operating systems (Medical OS), is set to reduce the workload of medical staff through its AI-integrated electronic medical record (EMR) system. UBCARE CO., LTD.(032620)announced on the 6th that it will launch “Uisarang AI,” an AI-based medical consultation solution, for hospitals, clinics, and medical professionals nationwide.

Under the slogan “Start, Next Consultation Room,” “Uisarang AI” combines the expertise of the “Uisarang” electronic medical record (EMR) system with AI technology specialized for the medical field to enhance consultation efficiency.

Until now, medical staff had to enter consultation details into the electronic medical record (EMR) while conversing with patients and then reorganize the records after the consultation ended. It also took a considerable amount of time to review a patient’s past medical history or search for appropriate diagnosis codes and prescription details.

“Uisarang AI” reduces repetitive tasks throughout the consultation process—from preparation to record-keeping and searching for diagnosis codes and prescriptions—enabling medical staff to focus more on communicating with patients. “STT & S.O.A.P. Charting” utilizes STT (speech recognition) technology specialized for medical terminology to record conversations between doctors and patients in real time. The recorded conversations are automatically organized into medical records with distinct sections for the patient’s symptoms, the healthcare provider’s assessment, and the treatment plan, thereby reducing the burden of on-screen data entry during consultations and post-consultation charting.

“Past Medical History Summary” quickly compiles and displays key information from medical records and test results accumulated over several years. This allows medical staff to grasp a patient’s major medical history and treatment progression at a glance, enabling them to assess the patient’s current condition more quickly and efficiently.

“AI Diagnosis and Prescription Search” analyzes consultation details to suggest appropriate diagnosis codes and prescription options, then transmits them to the EMR. This eliminates the need to manually search for disease classification codes and prescription details or repeatedly enter the same information.

The “AI Assistant” quickly provides necessary information based on past medical records when healthcare professionals enter a query. “Uisarang Insights” helps users easily grasp the clinic’s operational status by displaying visualized statistics on patient trends and key clinic performance metrics in response to questions phrased in everyday language, such as “Has the number of patients increased compared to last month?”

The key differentiators of “Uisarang AI” are its openness and scalability. It can be used in a web environment regardless of the type of EMR currently in use, and when integrated with the on-premises “Uisarang” system, it offers advanced features that streamline the workflow—from preparing for patient visits to charting and applying suggested diagnoses and prescriptions—into a single, seamless process. Medical data is not transmitted to external generative AI services but is processed on GCMediAI’s proprietary infrastructure, thereby enhancing the security and stability of medical information.

GCMediAI plans to combine “Uisarang AI” with its cloud-based EMR, scheduled for release next year, to transform the way medical staff provide care and the overall operation of clinics, thereby leading the full-scale transition to AI in the domestic healthcare sector.

Kim Jin-tae, CEO of GCMediAI, stated, “Uisarang AI is a product that combines medical AI technology with decades of expertise in electronic medical record management to revolutionize workflows in the examination room.” He added, “By reducing the time spent on charting and code lookups, we will set a new standard for the ‘Next Examination Room,’ enabling medical staff to focus more on their core duties of examining patients and engaging in dialogue.”
