[Edaily Reporter Choi Oh-hyun ] SamsungElectronics will participate in “gamescom 2026,” the world’s largest gaming exhibition, to showcase a “full-stack gaming” experience spanning PCs, consoles, and mobile devices.

SamsungElectronics announced on the 11th that it will participate in gamescom 2026, taking place in Cologne, Germany, from the 26th to the 30th (local time). gamescom is the world’s largest gaming exhibition, attracting 360,000 visitors last year alone. This year, under the theme “Expectations for the Future,” approximately 1,500 software, hardware, and game content developers will participate.

Under the slogan “#PlaySamsung,” SamsungElectronics will showcase its gaming monitors, high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs), smartphones, and other products all in one place at the event. Visitors to the booth will be able to experience an integrated gaming experience that connects various platforms—from mobile to PC and consoles—through the company’s major new products.

The exhibition hall will feature key products such as the world’s first 6K gaming monitor, the “Odyssey G8,” the high-performance “9100 PRO” SSD, and the foldable smartphone “Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.”

Launched last May, the Odyssey G8 supports “Dual Mode,” which allows users to switch between a 6K/165Hz ultra-high-resolution mode and a 3K/330Hz ultra-high-refresh-rate mode depending on the game genre. It also features NVIDIA “G-SYNC Compatible” and AMD “FreeSync Premium,” minimizing screen stuttering and tearing even in high-spec games to deliver a dramatically immersive experience.

Visitors can experience PearlAbyss Corp.’s open-world action-adventure game “Red Desert” firsthand by taking advantage of the Odyssey G8’s ultra-high resolution and HDR10+ gaming capabilities. A mobile gaming experience zone featuring devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra will also be available.

SamsungElectronics will also host a global esports event to showcase the gaming performance of Galaxy smartphones. At the “PlayGalaxy Cup (#PlayGalaxy Cup)” World Finals, taking place on the 27th and 28th, 10 teams that advanced through regional qualifiers in North America, Central and South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Southwest Asia will compete for the championship in “PUBG Mobile.” A special match featuring global gaming influencers will also be held.

In addition, various programs are scheduled to take place during the event, including tournaments featuring popular games such as the Sonic series and a cosplay catwalk centered on hands-on experiences with SamsungElectronics products.
