[Edaily Starin, Reporter Choi Hee-jae ] Director Christopher Nolan’s “The Martian” continues its box office dominance, topping the charts for six consecutive days.

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network on the 11th, as of the 10th, “The Martian” drew 257,625 viewers to claim the No. 1 spot at the box office. Its cumulative audience count stands at 2,132,446.
The pace at which “The Odyssey” is approaching the 2 million mark is six days faster than that of “The Man Who Lives with the King” (Wangsa-nam), a film that drew 16.91 million viewers in South Korea. It is also six days ahead of director Christopher Nolan’s previous film, “Oppenheimer.”
The momentum of “Spider-Man: A Brand New Day” (Spider-Man 4), which has consistently held the No. 2 spot at the box office since “The Odyssey” opened, is also impressive. “Spider-Man 4” drew 174,615 viewers on that day, bringing its cumulative total to 6,091,016. Among films released this year, “Spider-Man 4” ranks second in box office earnings, trailing only “The Man Who Lives with the King” (16.91 million viewers).
Third place went to the Korean animated film *Love Hachuping: The Legend of the Whale Jewel* (*Hachuping 2*). *Hachuping 2* drew 19,409 viewers. Among Korean films, it has held the top spot for six consecutive days, overtaking *Hope*.
Fourth place went to director Na Hong-jin’s “Hope” (14,523 viewers), and fifth place went to the Japanese documentary “What Should We Have Done?” (2,317 viewers).
“Odyssey” also dominates in advance ticket sales. As of 8:28 a.m. on the 11th, “Odyssey” had sold 692,752 tickets. In second place is “Spider-Man 4” with 225,295 tickets, while third place went to “Detective Conan: The Angel of the Highway,” set to open on the 12th, with 50,983 tickets. “Okay Madam 2,” starring Uhm Jung-hwa, recorded 47,911 advance ticket sales.
