On that day, NEXUS signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Fasset FZE, a digital finance company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), to collaborate on stablecoin-based financial infrastructure.
Under this agreement, the two companies will explore ways to collaborate on payment infrastructure integration, stablecoin settlement, and co-branded digital financial products.
In the payment sector, they will conduct a joint proof of concept (PoC) to integrate NEXUS’s payment infrastructure with Fasset’s fiat-to-crypto conversion infrastructure. In the stablecoin sector, they will form a joint task force (TF) to discuss infrastructure cooperation strategies for stablecoins pegged to the UAE dirham (AED) and the South Korean won, respectively, and will operate the task force on a quarterly basis.
Faset is a Dubai-based AI-powered stablecoin digital finance platform. It obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) in 2023 and has been providing digital asset services ever since.
Mohammad Raafi Hossain, CEO of Faset, stated, “The next step in finance is to freely connect people, assets, and payment networks,” adding, “We will expand the infrastructure that utilizes stablecoins for actual payments and settlements so that access to financial opportunities does not vary based on where one lives.”
NEXUS also announced on the same day that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Tie, a U.S.-based digital asset solutions company. Under this agreement, Stakin by The Tie—The Tie’s institutional staking division—will join NEXUS as a OneChain validator and participate in block validation and network security operations.
Headquartered in New York, The Tie provides intelligence, infrastructure, advisory, financing, and communication solutions that support institutional participation in digital assets. It has over 500 institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset management firms, and banks.
Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of NEXUS, stated, “The competitiveness of a stablecoin stems not from its issuance itself, but from its actual use cases and distribution channels,” adding, “By combining Facet’s global payment and settlement infrastructure with OneStore, we will continue to refine our global AI blockchain gaming platform from a payment perspective as well.”
