Amid the growth of domestic cosmetics exports and the online cross-border e-commerce market, the event will provide practical know-how for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and indie brands to enter overseas markets using their own online stores.
Global e-commerce platform Cafe24 Corp. announced on the 11th that it will host “K-Beauty Scale-Up 2026,” a conference specializing in the beauty industry, at Escape Cozy in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on the 20th.
The event will be held under the theme “E-commerce Growth Strategies for Sustainable K-Beauty Brands.”
Cafe24 Corp. explained that it organized this conference to outline the global scaling-up journey for small and medium-sized as well as indie beauty brands, amid K-Beauty’s recent resurgence in the global market.
According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, domestic cosmetics exports reached a record high of $11.4 billion last year. South Korea has risen to become the world’s second-largest cosmetics exporter.
Online growth is also continuing. According to figures released by the National Data Agency for the second quarter of this year, online direct sales of cosmetics to overseas markets increased by 45.9% year-over-year, driving overall growth in cross-border e-commerce.
Cafe24 Corp. noted that this growth in K-Beauty is centered on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and indie beauty brands. Accordingly, the conference will feature experts from various sectors of the beauty value chain, including beauty planning and consulting, specialized media, creator intellectual property (IP), and e-commerce platforms. They plan to share insights on global market trends, brand growth strategies, and collaboration opportunities.
Kim Ki-hyun, CEO of clean beauty specialist Slock, will present on the topic “Clean Beauty 2.0: Understanding Regulations Reveals the Market,” introducing global regulatory trends and strategies for responding to them. He will also propose strategies for ensuring sustainability. Heo Kang-woo, Editor-in-Chief of beauty media outlet Cosmorning, will outline the growth formula for indie brands based on global success stories.
Kim Ju-ah, Division Head at Dimil, a beauty creator IP solutions company, will introduce creator collaboration strategies that bridge advertising and commerce. Choi Min-hyung, CEO of The Yeobaek 26, will share know-how on growing an in-house online store centered on customer relationship management (CRM) and conversion funnels.
The Cafe24 Corp. session will cover growth structures based on company-owned online stores and strategies for global expansion.
Kwon Gye-young, Director at Cafe24 Corp., will present on the topic “Beauty Brands That Stand Out: Building a Growth Structure with Cafe24 PRO,” explaining how to convert marketplace sales performance into customer assets for your own online store. She will also outline a practical roadmap covering everything from building your own online store to product detail pages, CRM, and global expansion.
Jang Seong-yeon, Manager at Cafe24 Corp., will present customized marketing strategies that can simultaneously boost branding and sales amid fierce competition.
One-on-one on-site consulting sessions will also be available for participants. During breaks in the event, participants can receive consultations on topics such as online store management, marketing, and global expansion. Cafe24 Corp. plans to support participants in turning insights gained from networking with industry professionals and speakers into tangible business actions.
