[Notice] The Future and Success of K-Bio Innovation and Investment... Seeking Opportunities Globally

This conference will analyze K-Bio’s global competitiveness from multiple angles amid the new competitive paradigm in the global biotech market. In addition, it will examine the growth strategies and success stories of leading global pharmaceutical and biotech companies, while sharing the future direction of the domestic biotech industry and practical investment insights.

To this end, the program has been thoughtfully curated to cover a wide range of topics, from the perspectives of global investors to roadmaps for successful overseas expansion, strategies for enhancing corporate value, and panel discussions. In the keynote address, Kook Chan-woo, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of KB Investment, will present on “Conditions for Success in the Bio Sector from the Perspective of Global Investors,” discussing changes in the global bio investment market and key investment considerations.

Following this, under the theme “Case Studies of Innovative Technology Businesses,” leaders from major biotech companies that have led domestic and international markets will take the stage to share their roadmaps to success. Shin Hae-in, Vice President of SK BIOPHARMACEUTICALS(326030); Kim Na-young, Vice President of HanmiPharm(128940); Hong Seong-hun, Vice President of D&D Pharmatech Inc.(347850); and Fred Kim, Head of the U.S. Branch of #AriBio, will present their companies’ innovative achievements and global expansion strategies.

The “Exploring the Future of K-Bio” session will address sustainable growth, IPO strategies, and corporate value enhancement (Value-Up) for K-Bio companies. Heo Hye-min, a research analyst at KIWOOM Securities, will conduct a detailed analysis of the current market landscape under the theme “An Analyst’s Assessment of K-Bio’s Present and Future.” This will be followed by presentations on the growth stories of major biotech companies that are attracting market attention based on their proprietary technologies.

Kim Deok-kyu, CEO of #ZeronCellVein, a biotech company specializing in polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN), will take the stage to deliver a lecture titled “A Growth Story of Building Corporate Value Based on Proprietary Technology,” covering commercialization achievements utilizing the company’s unique core technology and strategies for enhancing corporate value. Han Sang-yeol, CEO of Ingenia Therapeutics—which achieved a KOSDAQ listing based on technology transfer deals worth over 1 trillion won—will present a vivid case study covering the journey from establishing a U.S. headquarters to a successful domestic listing. Lee Geun-woo, CEO of #BreezeBio, will share the case study “Establishing a U.S. Headquarters: The Formula for Success” and present an efficient roadmap for overseas expansion.

The final segment of the event will feature a panel discussion with participants including Lee Seung-kyu, Vice Chairman of the Korea Bio Association; Research Fellow Heo; Han Jeong-hyun, Head of BD&L at Boehringer Ingelheim Korea; and Kim Myeong-gi, CEO of LSK Investment. Under the theme “K-Bio: Caught Between a Rock and a Hard Place—Is a Rebound Possible?”, the panel will conduct an in-depth exploration of solutions for survival and recovery.
