[Edaily Reporter SONG YOUNG-DOO ] CLASSYS Inc.(214150)has surpassed 100 billion won in quarterly revenue for the first time since its founding, driven by growth in major global markets and the expansion of its South American operations.
CLASSYS Inc. announced on the 12th that it recorded consolidated revenue of 105.5 billion won and operating profit of 43.9 billion won in the second quarter of this year. Revenue rose 26.7% year-over-year and 21% quarter-over-quarter, reaching an all-time high. The operating profit margin stood at 41.6%.
These results were driven by balanced growth in major overseas markets such as Europe, North America, and Thailand, as well as the contribution to consolidated earnings from the South American subsidiary. In particular, global equipment sales—which form the foundation for recurring revenue—expanded across key regions including North America, Europe, Central and South America, the Middle East, and Asia. As of the end of June, cumulative global equipment sales had risen to approximately 48,000 units.
By product, the High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) device “Ultrformer” (known as “Shrink” in Korea) led growth by posting its highest-ever quarterly global sales. The monopolar radiofrequency (MRF) device “Volnume” also maintained high sales levels. Expanded sales of the new product “QuadSay” and increased demand for lasers in Europe also contributed to the results.
The expansion of equipment sales is driving growth in consumables revenue. Overseas consumables revenue increased by 32.6% compared to the same period last year. As the number of devices supplied to the global market grows, the foundation for securing sustained consumables revenue continues to expand.
Profitability also remained at a high level. On a standalone basis, the second-quarter operating profit margin exceeded 50%. However, on a consolidated basis, the operating profit margin stood at 41.6%, reflecting operating costs incurred during the expansion of overseas operations, such as the transition to direct management in South America and Japan. The company plans to improve profitability in the future by expanding local sales.
The company is also restructuring its management team to support global business expansion. CLASSYS Inc. recently appointed Yoon Jun-oh, a former SamsungElectronics executive, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Kim Taek-soo as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The strategy is to accelerate mid- to long-term growth by strengthening global business operations and technological competitiveness.
In Japan, the company has fully transitioned to a direct sales model starting this month. In South Korea, it is strengthening package promotions, while in Latin America, it is simultaneously expanding B2B and B2C marketing to drive a turnaround in its local operations.
CLASSYS Inc. official stated, “While maintaining global growth momentum in the second half of the year, we will enhance our execution capabilities on key tasks such as strengthening our leadership in the domestic market and turning around our business in Latin America.” The official added, “In Japan, we have fully transitioned to a direct sales model starting this month,” and noted, “Based on our newly established management structure, we will enhance our global business competitiveness and technological execution capabilities to build a foundation for sustainable growth and increase our medium- to long-term corporate value.”
