[Edaily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] SamsungElectronics is establishing a new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) production line in India through its subsidiary, Flact Group, and is stepping up its efforts to tap into the artificial intelligence (AI) data center market in India and the Asia-Pacific region.

The event was attended by approximately 100 people, including executives such as Kim Cheol-ki, Executive Vice President and Head of SamsungElectronics’ Device Analytics (DA) Business Division, and David Donny, CEO of Flact Group, as well as representatives from major business partners.
The Pune production line will serve as a key manufacturing hub, alongside Flact Group’s existing Noida facility, for supplying HVAC solutions to India and the Asia-Pacific region. Pune is a region experiencing rapid growth in data centers and industrial infrastructure, and its proximity to the Port of Mumbai is expected to enhance supply chain efficiency.
The new production facility, spanning 13,826 square meters (approximately 4,190 pyeong), includes production lines, offices, and ancillary facilities. Construction began early this year, and mass production was achieved in about six months; once fully operational, the facility will be capable of producing up to 6,500 HVAC units annually.
The Pune production line manufactures air handling units (AHUs)—Flact Group’s flagship product—as well as fan wall units (FWUs) and computer room air handling units (CRAHs).

The FWU, a wall-mounted air distribution unit, and the CRAH, a high-precision air handling unit, help maintain an optimal environment for information technology (IT) equipment in server rooms.
SamsungElectronics plans to enhance its competitiveness in the business-to-business (B2B) HVAC market, including AI data centers, by combining its proprietary AI and platform technologies with the Flact Group’s HVAC expertise.
Vice President Kim stated, “The completion of this production line in Pune, India, marks an important milestone in expanding our HVAC supply beyond India to the Asia-Pacific region,” adding, “By combining Samsung’s AI and platform technologies with the Flact Group’s HVAC capabilities, we will provide the best value to a wide range of customers, including those in the AI data center sector.”
