SOOP announced on the 14th that it will live-stream two off-season exhibition games featuring the Changwon LG Sakers, the 2025–2026 professional basketball regular-season champions.
These exhibition games are part of the LG Sakers’ domestic training camp ahead of the 2026–2027 season. Viewers will be able to see the LG Sakers—who claimed the regular-season title last season—prepare for the new season through competitive matches against college basketball teams.
The LG Sakers will play an exhibition game against the Chung-Ang University basketball team at 3:00 p.m. on the 18th. On the 21st at 3:00 p.m., they will face off against the Korea University basketball team. Both games will be held at LG Champions Park in Icheon.
Since these are exhibition games between a professional and a college team, the key highlight for spectators will be the opportunity to see player lineups and game strategies that are rarely seen during the regular season.
The broadcast will feature commentator Jo Hyun-il, known for his analysis of the KBL and the NBA, alongside announcer Choi Jun-hyuk from SOOP. SOOP plans to deploy a professional broadcast team even for these preseason games—not just the regular season—to provide coverage of the LG Sakers’ preparations for the new season, including player performance and team tactics.
