[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] Physical AI specialist XIIlab Co., Ltd(189330)announced on the 14th that it posted an operating loss of 4.6 billion won in the first half of this year, a 101% increase compared to the same period last year.

Revenue for the same period reached 3.13 billion won, a 108% increase compared to the same period last year. The company explained that the operating loss resulted from expanded investments in securing next-generation graphics processing unit (GPU) infrastructure technology, product enhancement, and the recruitment of specialized personnel.

By business segment, AI infrastructure revenue led growth, rising 187% year-over-year to 2.04 billion won. The Vision AI segment increased by 49% to 340 million won, while the Digital Twin segment grew by 33% to 750 million won.

As of the end of the second quarter, the order backlog stood at 3.2 billion won, a 24% increase from 2.6 billion won in the same period last year. XIIlab Co., Ltd. plans to expand sales in the second half of the year based on the secured order volume.

In the AI Infrastructure segment, the company secured a contract worth approximately 2.1 billion won for the purchase of GPUs by the National Information Resource Management Agency. In the first half of the year, C-Lab obtained NVIDIA “Elite Partner” status and launched “Astraggo 2.1,” which utilizes GPU partitioning technology to run training and inference on a single cluster.

In the Vision AI business, the industrial safety AI solution “Ziba Safety” obtained GS Certification Grade 1, following its Intelligent Closed-Circuit (CC) TV performance certification in the fire prevention category from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). The company plans to expand application cases primarily in manufacturing and construction sites and broaden its business scope to include the defense, government, and public facilities sectors in the future.

In the digital twin business, the company has expanded the implementation of NVIDIA Omniverse-based digital twin solutions for global semiconductor companies for the fourth consecutive year. Building on this, it is expanding its business scope to other industries such as manufacturing and defense.

In the first half of the year, XIIlab Co., Ltd expanded its team to include solution architects, high-performance computing (HPC) performance tuning experts, and GPU orchestration developers. The company plans to strengthen its professional services capabilities to support the adoption of NVIDIA’s next-generation AI supercomputer platform, “Vera Rubin,” and target the AI data center (AIDC) deployment and operations market.

A XIIlab Co., Ltd official stated, “The first half of this year was a period not only of revenue growth but also of securing key references across each business division that will serve as the foundation for future expansion, along with proactive investments for growth,” adding, “We will focus on converting the secured references into follow-up contracts and actual results.”
