[Edaily Reporter SOYEON KIM ] SamsungElectronics announced on the 18th that it will showcase 43 masterpieces from the "Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna" in Austria on the Samsung Art Store. The Samsung Art Store, a subscription service exclusive to Samsung TVs, allows users to enjoy works from the world’s leading museums and artists from the comfort of their own homes via their TVs.

Following the Louvre Museum in Paris, France, and the Prado Museum in Madrid, Spain, the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna has now been added to the Samsung Art Store. Viewers can now enjoy works from Europe’s top art museums on their TVs.

Notable works now available include: △ “The Tower of Babel” by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, △ “The Art of Painting” by Johannes Vermeer, and △Gustav Klimt’s “Nuda Veritas.”

In addition, visitors can view iconic landscape paintings of Venice and Vienna by Canaletto and Bernardo Bellotto, Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s “Summer,” as well as masterpieces by Rubens, Velázquez, Caravaggio, Titian, Rembrandt, and Raphael.

To faithfully convey the emotional impact of the originals, SamsungElectronics combined high-resolution images provided by the museum with its proprietary anti-glare display technology. As a result, visitors can enjoy the works with crisp image quality and no glare, even in environments with bright sunlight or artificial lighting.

Dr. Jonathan Fine, Director General of the Vienna Museum of Art History, stated, “We are now able to share the museum’s world-class collection with viewers around the globe through the Samsung Art Store.” He added, “As more people are able to appreciate these masterpieces, the barrier to accessing art is lowered, and we hope that the profound emotional impact experienced on screen will lead to actual visits to the museum.”

Dario Casari, Head of SamsungElectronics Austria and Switzerland, remarked, “The Vienna Museum of Art History is not only a symbol of Austrian culture but also a meaningful space that has been a part of citizens’ daily lives for many years,” adding, “Through this partnership, we will convey the world-class cultural heritage preserved by Vienna throughout its history to viewers worldwide using SamsungElectronics’ innovative display technology.”

Samsung Art Store offers over 5,000 masterpieces in 4K high definition. They can be enjoyed on the entire Samsung Art TV lineup, including the OLED (SH95) model released this year, as well as The Frame, The Frame Pro, Micro RGB, and Neo QLED.
