[Edaily Reporter Yun Junghoon ] KTCorporation (KTCorporation(030200)) announced on the 18th that it has signed a business agreement with Nonghyup Economic Holdings and Microsoft Korea at the KTCorporation Gwanghwamun Building West in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to collaborate on AI and cloud-based retail AX innovation.

This collaboration was initiated following KTCorporation’s project to migrate “NH SingSing Mall” (Nonghyup Mall), a specialized online marketplace for agricultural products, to the public cloud. KTCorporation migrated NH SingSing Mall’s on-premises systems, infrastructure, network, and security environment to Microsoft Azure. The revamped NH SingSing Mall successfully launched its customer services last July and is currently operating stably.
This is regarded as a large-scale Azure migration project in the domestic e-commerce sector and is recognized as a case study in building a flexible, cloud-based IT environment that enhances service scalability, operational efficiency, and customer response capabilities.
The three companies are expanding their scope of cooperation beyond the achievements of the cloud migration to include innovations in the customer experience utilizing AI. They will jointly pursue: △identifying new AX business opportunities in the retail and e-commerce sectors; △innovating AI-based customer service; △advancing data-driven marketing; and △internalizing AI utilization capabilities centered on frontline operations and disseminating success stories.
In particular, they will establish personalized recommendation services and marketing systems utilizing customer, product, and order data across Nonghyup Economic Holdings’ major business sectors, such as retail and food. Additionally, they plan to introduce the “Agentic AI” service, which enables AI to independently understand and process tasks such as customer inquiries, order confirmations, and delivery notifications, thereby simultaneously enhancing customer convenience and operational efficiency.
KTCorporation will oversee the entire project, including identifying and designing AX initiatives, as well as building and operating the AICC. Nonghyup Economic Holdings will provide a pilot environment based on business status and operational data, while Microsoft Korea will support the implementation of global AI and cloud technologies and services, including Azure.
Through this initiative, customers are expected to receive personalized services ranging from product recommendations to order and delivery updates and customer support, while the operational team will improve the efficiency of customer service and marketing tasks. This is expected to strengthen Nonghyup Economic Holdings’ e-commerce competitiveness and help revitalize the trade of domestically produced agricultural products.
Kim Ju-yang, CEO of Nonghyup Economic Holdings, stated, “The cloud migration of NH SingSing Mall—whose name signifies the swift delivery of fresh agricultural products—is a significant turning point that goes beyond mere system improvements to enhance the distribution competitiveness of our agricultural products through digital technology.” He added, “Based on this expanded AI infrastructure, we will strive to broaden sales channels for farmers in production areas and make a tangible contribution to increasing their incomes.”
Park Sang-won, Executive Vice President and Head of KTCorporation’s AX Business Division, remarked, “The successful public cloud migration of NH SingSing Mall marks the starting point for AI-based distribution innovation.” He continued, “KTCorporation will leverage its experience in AX design, implementation, and operation, along with its Agentic AI capabilities, to collaborate with Nonghyup Economic Holdings and Microsoft Korea in developing new AX business models for the distribution sector.”
