[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] Daesung Hi-Tech Co., Ltd.(129920), a company specializing in ultra-precision machining, announced on the 19th that it has secured an additional order for manufacturing equipment used to produce core components for liquid cooling systems in artificial intelligence data centers (AIDC). This order is a follow-up to the supply contract secured last March. At the client’s request, specific contract details and supply terms were not disclosed. Daesung Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. plans to maximize the utilization rate of its domestic production lines by the end of the year to meet the volume of manufacturing equipment orders it has secured. In addition to the volume already confirmed for supply, the company is in discussions with the client regarding equipment for additional shipments next year and is therefore expecting further orders. With the proliferation of generative artificial intelligence (AI), global big tech companies are expanding their investments in AI infrastructure, and the importance of liquid cooling systems to control the heat generated by high-performance AI servers is growing. In particular, as AI servers become more powerful and highly integrated, the adoption of direct-to-chip (D2C) liquid cooling is increasing, driving up demand for related core components and the ultra-precision manufacturing equipment needed for their mass production. Daesung Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. is expanding its related business through a “two-track” approach that combines the supply of manufacturing equipment necessary for producing AIDC cooling components with the direct production of core cooling components. The equipment supplied by Daesung Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. consists of manufacturing equipment for core AIDC liquid cooling components, developed in-house based on the ultra-precision machining technology of its Japanese subsidiary, Nomura DS. Cooling components produced using this equipment are supplied through the supply chains of global cooling solution companies and applied to global AIDC projects. The company has also begun full-scale mass production of AIDC cooling components. Daesung Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. has established a mass production system for Quick Disconnect Coupler (QDC) and Universal Quick Disconnect (UQD) products—key cooling components for AI data centers—centered on its Vietnamese subsidiary. Following the start of prototype supply last March, the company began full-scale mass production last month. Daesung Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. official stated, “Following our first shipment in March, we have received follow-up orders, and we plan to operate our domestic production lines at maximum capacity to meet the current order volume.” The official added, “By simultaneously securing manufacturing equipment and directly mass-producing core QDC and UQD components through our Vietnam subsidiary, we will foster the AIDC business as a new growth engine.” The official added, “Along with the growth of our precision components business—including defense, robotics, and AIDC—we expect performance in our equipment manufacturing division, particularly Swiss-type automatic lathes, to gradually improve.”
