[E-Daily Reporter SOYEON KIM ] LGELECTRONICS announced on the 21st that it won a total of 17 awards, including five bronze medals, at IDEA 2026, an international design competition organized by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). This achievement is seen as proof of LGELECTRONICS’ design competitiveness, as the company secured a large number of awards across the three major design awards.
IDEA is considered one of the world’s top three design awards, alongside the Red Dot and iF Design Awards. LGELECTRONICS has now won awards at IDEA, following its previous total of 55 awards from the Red Dot Design Awards and the iF Design Awards.
Each year, IDEA evaluates entries based on design innovation, improvements in user experience, and business viability to select winners across 20 categories, including △Home △Consumer Technology △Commercial & Industrial Products △Packaging. (Photo courtesy of LGELECTRONICS) This year, the following products were recognized for their distinctive design excellence: △ the LG Signature OLED W, a wireless “wallpaper” TV measuring just 9 mm thick; △ three models of the LG ThermaV indoor units for air-source heat pumps (AWHP), designed to blend harmoniously with interior spaces; and △ the LG UltraFine Evo, an ultra-high-resolution professional monitor featuring a slim bezel on all four sides △ the LG Corp. Smart Monitor Swing, featuring a flexible stand that allows for free adjustment of the screen; and △ the LG Puricare AeroMini air purifier, designed to fit seamlessly into compact spaces, were awarded Bronze.
In addition, 12 products—including the LG Corp. Cloid home robot, the LG Puricare System air purifier, and the ultra-lightweight LG Gram Pro laptop—were named Finalists. (Photo: LGELECTRONICS) In particular, the LG Cloid, Signature OLED W, three Thermav V indoor units, the LG Puricare System Air Purifier, the LG Gram Pro, and the XBOOM Mini & Stage 501 swept this year’s IDEA, Red Dot Design Award, and iF Design Award, achieving a triple crown.
LGELECTRONICS also received recognition in the packaging design category, with its lifestyle audio brand, the XBOOM series, and its premium home audio system, the LG Sound Suite, winning awards—demonstrating the company’s design capabilities that encompass not only products but the overall brand experience.
