[E-Daily Reporter PARK MIN ] SK hynix continued its upward trend for the second consecutive day on the 21st. Following a rise of over 12% the previous day, driven by the announcement of a large-scale share buyback and cancellation plan, the stock is showing a gain of around 4% today.
According to MP Doctor, as of 9:54 a.m. today, SK hynix is trading at 1,763,000 won, up 4.26% from the previous close. SK hynix opened at 1,675,000 won, down 0.95%, but quickly turned upward. SKSQUARE(402340), another stock in the SK Group, also showed a slight gain, trading at 1,127,000 won, up 0.36%.
At the same time, SamsungElectronics(005930)is trading at 273,750 won, up 1.01% from the previous trading day, leading the rally among major semiconductor stocks. SamsungElectronics(1P)(005935)surged 7.48% to 205,500 won, extending its gains, while
while SamsungElectroMechanics(009150)is trading at 1,326,000 won, down 5.01%, showing weakness.
Relatively strong buying interest in SK hynix and SamsungElectronics is helping the top two semiconductor companies support the index from below.
The KOSPI opened lower today at 6,759.95, down 1.35% from the previous day. It then turned positive by breaking above the 6,900 mark early in the session before falling again, showing mixed trading conditions.
