[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] Wemade Co., Ltd.(112040)is setting its sights on global massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) players with “Night Crow W,” the official sequel to “Night Crow.”

“Night Crow W,” currently in development by Mad Engine—a key development studio under Wemade Max—is the first official sequel to inherit the “Night Crow” IP (intellectual property), and development is accelerating with the goal of a release in the second half of this year.

“Night Crow” is Wemade Co., Ltd.’s flagship IP, having recorded cumulative sales of 750 billion won and 14 million cumulative users both domestically and internationally. It features realistic graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5, a world that blends medieval European history with fantasy, three-dimensional combat utilizing gliders, and large-scale war content.

While inheriting the world and gameplay of “Night Crow,” which is celebrating its third anniversary, the game also incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The strategy is to provide a gameplay experience distinct from existing MMORPGs by applying various AI technologies, such as an AI-based companion system.

“One-build,” where players worldwide enjoy the same content through a single build, is another key feature of *Night Crow W*. The “W” in the title stands for “World,” signifying that players from around the globe can play together in a single server environment.

Wemade Co., Ltd. has recently been accelerating the expansion of the *Night Crow* IP. Another key pillar of this IP expansion is entering the Chinese market. The original *Night Crow* recently obtained a foreign game license in China and is preparing for launch under the local title “Ya’a.” The plan is to expand the IP’s influence by entering China—one of the largest markets for MMORPGs—and, based on this, develop *Night Crow* into a global franchise.

While expanding its long-running IPs, Wemade Co., Ltd. is also developing IPs across various genres to secure new growth engines. A prime example is the mobile subculture RPG “Make Drama: MAD,” which launched in South Korea last June. The game is currently accepting pre-registrations in global markets such as the U.S., Taiwan, and Japan, marking the start of full-scale preparations for overseas service.

“Noah,” a subculture RPG based on the company’s own IP, is also targeting an official launch in the second half of this year. Additionally, a new subculture title aimed at female audiences, based on the popular IP “Hundred Note” from leading Japanese publisher Kodansha, is currently in development with a target release in the second half of the year. The game plans to bring the original work’s world and characters to life, offering a distinctive subculture experience.

“Project TAL,” an AAA-tier open-world action RPG currently in development by the company’s subsidiary Mad Engine, is also generating significant market anticipation. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, “Project TAL” features hyper-realistic graphics and AI companion functionality. The company plans to officially introduce the game’s core content and key systems through a new gameplay trailer in the second half of this year.
