[E-Daily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] KTCorporation(030200)announced on the 23rd that it held a graduation ceremony following the completion of the first cohort of the “K-New Deal Academy,” a practical training program for young people.

The K-New Deal Academy is a program designed to develop practical skills in information and communications technology (ICT), business, and artificial intelligence transformation (AX), while supporting participants in adapting to the workplace and achieving self-reliance. It is open to young people aged 34 or younger who are graduates of or expected to graduate from a junior college or higher, and participants must not be enrolled in employment insurance. Participation is restricted for those currently enrolled in other government-supported training programs or who hold a business registration certificate. However, individuals with a business registration history may participate if they submit a certificate of business closure.

Training takes place at KTCorporation regional hubs in five locations nationwide, including Pangyo, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, and Gwangju.

KTCorporation announced that it has concluded the first cohort of the “KTCorporation K-New Deal Academy”—a program designed to help young people regain confidence and enter the workforce through diverse job experiences—and held a graduation ceremony. Approximately 100 participants took part in the first cohort, which began last July. Over the course of about four months and a total of 400 hours, the trainees received training in ICT, business, and AX fields and carried out real-world projects. They gained experience in problem-solving and collaboration through team-based assignments and also participated in the “Work Smart” program, which focuses on business communication and work efficiency.

The program also included company visits to KTCorporation affiliates and coaching sessions with current employees. Trainees observed real-world corporate work environments and role-specific responsibilities, and by communicating with current employees, they were able to clarify their career paths and employment preparation strategies.

Kim Seong-won, a graduate who participated from Daejeon, said, “I’ll always remember the process of connecting my strengths to the competencies companies need through practical, hands-on AX projects,” adding, “It turned my vague career concerns into concrete ideas about what I actually want to do.”

Lee Seon-ju, Head of KTCorporation’s Talent Division (Senior Vice President), said, “I hope this was a time for the trainees to discover their potential and prepare for a new future,” adding, “We will provide support to ensure they acquire the competencies necessary for young people to enter the workforce.”
