Ace Technologies Corp. Wins Contract to Develop Low-Earth Orbit Satellite Communication Antennas for the Korea Aerospace Research Institute… Expanding Satellite and Defense Communications

Ace Technologies Corp. announced that it has signed a supply contract with KOREA AEROSPACE INDUSTRIES (KARI) to provide active phased array antennas (ESAs) for ground stations supporting low-Earth orbit (LEO) mega-constellation satellites. The contract value is 147 million won.
This contract is part of the low-Earth orbit satellite communications self-sufficiency project being pursued by KARI. Leveraging its accumulated expertise in satellite communications antenna technology, Ace Technologies Corp. will participate in this project by supplying active phased array antennas for ground stations. The company will apply related technologies, including X-band active phased array antennas, electric beam steering, beamforming, FPGA-based control, and RF/IF integrated modules.
An active phased array antenna is a technology that electronically controls multiple transceiver modules to adjust the antenna’s beam direction.
In addition to this contract win, Ace Technologies Corp. continues to advance technology development in the low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications sector. In the satellite payload sector, the company is participating in a government-led project to develop active phased array antennas for LEO satellites based on 3GPP and 6G NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) standards.
In the ground terminal sector, the company is securing satellite communication terminal technology based on flat-panel active phased array antennas, leveraging its experience in developing and supplying mobile and handheld terminal antennas for military satellite communications.
In the ground infrastructure sector, Solid, Inc. is participating in a project led by Solyd to develop cellular routers supporting low-Earth orbit satellite communications, and is developing Ka-band active phased array antennas for this purpose.
Ace Technologies Corp. plans to expand its business scope into the satellite communications and defense communications sectors based on the RF and antenna technologies it has accumulated through its mobile communications infrastructure business. The company is also pursuing the application of its technologies in the defense sector, such as anti-jamming GPS antennas and AESA radars.
An Ace Technologies Corp. official stated, “This contract marks a turning point where the company’s space communications technology—which we have been preparing for a long time—is being fully realized in the ground station sector of a national project,” adding, “Building on the stable growth of our base station and vehicle antenna businesses, we plan to continuously expand our future growth engines, with satellite communications and defense communications as our two main pillars.”
