SKT announced on the 10th that CEO Jeong Jae-heon attended the “GSMA M360 ASEAN” event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on the 9th (local time) and held a series of meetings with executives from global telecommunications and tech companies.

GSMA M360 is a major event organized by the GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications Association) on a regional basis. This year’s event brought together telecom operators, tech companies, and policymakers from East Asia and the ASEAN region to focus on key issues such as AI transformation (AX), AI sovereignty, enhanced security, and network reliability.

On that day, CEO Jeong held a one-on-one meeting with GSMA Director General Vivek Badrinath to share growth opportunities for the AI-based telecommunications industry and strategies for infrastructure transformation. In particular, he introduced SKT’s “AI Full-Stack” strategy—which encompasses infrastructure, models, and services—including the “Asia AI Infrastructure Hub” initiative currently being pursued by SKT, and explored avenues for cooperation at the GSMA level. Additionally, they held concrete discussions on securing digital trust, such as strengthening information security systems and preventing digital crime.

He also strengthened ties with major local companies. CEO Jeong met with Shaheed Danial Al-Bukhari, a director at TradeWinds—the investment arm of the Al-Bukhari Group, a key Malaysian infrastructure conglomerate—and agreed to explore business cooperation opportunities between the two companies.

Later that afternoon, he took a leading role in a roundtable attended by executives from major Asian telecommunications and tech companies in Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore. Participants agreed that future competitiveness in the AI era stems from “trust from customers and society”—achieved through enhanced security, securing technological sovereignty, and restructuring governance—and began sharing expertise and developing concrete cooperation models to build digital trust.

Jeong Jae-heon, CEO of SKT Corporation, stated, “In the AI era, the ability to earn the trust of customers and society is a core competitive advantage, just as important as the speed of technological innovation,” adding, “We will build a sustainable AI ecosystem by solidifying cooperation with global telecommunications companies in the field of digital trust.”
